4 Star Lineman commits to Stanford-(NOT GARNETT)

Submitted by Look Up_See Blue on

Just saw this post on ESPN that is paywalled but has some information about a 4-star commit from Minnesota.  Here is the link:

Does anyone have any insight on how this may effect the decision of Josh Garnett and if this helps Michigan at all for his services?  Hope the title was clear and didn't cause any panic.

I don't see why it would help Michigan. If Garnett didn't want to go somwhere that already had a good OL class, he wouldn't be looking so hard at a place that already had Kalis and Magnuson to begin with.

You mean you achieve points on the strength of your posts?  In my ignorance I thought that was just the quantity of posts not quality. I don't understand it or the "Score" thing.

Guess mine must really be sad, as I've never gotten anything for a post.

Maybe change the title to 'Minnesota 4 star to Stanford'. I would imagine that this will help our cause if he is an O lineman. Don't want too much depth at your spot

I talked to Greg Biggins on twitter (the guy who broke this commitment) and this is what he said.
Me: “@GregBiggins: #Stanford lands elite MW offensive lineman, story on the way” could be good news for Michigan and Garnett, we will see.

I don't think this commitment has anything to do with what Josh is doing, UM and ND def have a shot but not because of Davidson
Me:@GregBiggins Does Stanford still have room if Kyle Murphy commits?

They're holding a spot for Murphy, Garnett and Peat, wouldn't turn down any of them
