OT: SEC Charges Rudy With Securities Fraud

I don't know why everyone's jumpiny for joy at this. Dude seems like something of a self-promoter, but if you read the summary on the SEC website, it sounds like most of the dirty work in the scheme was carried out by his business partners. But the larger point is - why take so much pleasure in someone's troubles? I get it when a football team is doing poorly and you can rip on your friends a bit (MSU circa John L. Smith/Bobby Williams). But this is real life.

Maybe his first mistake was going into business with a guy named "Rocky" who moved the company to Vegas. At that point, it was only a matter of time.
Actually, the first mistake was calling a beverage "Rudy." Yuck!

His first mistake was being offside.

Sorry Tinseltown. Reality swallowed up another neon God you made for the silver screen.
Add "Rudy" memorabilia to the burning piles of Joepa and Tressel gear.

Jon Favreau will lead his defense team with Vince Vaughn. Sean Astin will act as a go-between with Frodo Bagins.

The guy spoke at our highschool back in the day (not sure why). Right around the time Kurt Cobain died. He proceeded to rip on a dead man and call his music "garbage" and a bad influence. He was not received well by the students.

I loved having D-list celebrities fill my head with lies back in the day!

....must've missed class at ND on the day they taught the parable about, "...let he who is without sin cast the first stone..."
Thanks for sharing, your anecdote just makes this even more delicious.

Rudy ate at Sandusky's house. Holtz called 911 and slobbered into the phone.

Don't worry - he'll be fine. the only agency more punchless than the NCAA is the SEC.
