"Michigan was one of my favorite schools before I committed to Penn State. I definitely wanted to reach out to them as an option in case things didn't go the way I wanted to at Penn State. Michigan was one of the schools I feel like I could help and help in an early way. I feel like if I went there, I could help them get to that goal of winning the championship."

we know that he's a smart kid.  All those other hundreds of thousands of football recruits that haven't figured out Michigan is where you need to be....shame on you

I have been assured by a very knowing American of my acquaintance in London, that a young healthy child well nursed is at a year old a most delicious, nourishing, and wholesome food, whether stewed, roasted, baked, or boiled; and I make no doubt that it will equally serve in a fricassee or a ragout.

One of the most epic wicked satires of all time.

If it was published on this blog, our plethera of satire-challenged readers would have the cops shut down the site in 5 minutes.

Unfortunately, the  /s  is totally necessary on this site.

I grant this food will be somewhat dear, and therefore very proper for landlords, who, as they have already devoured most of the parents, seem to have the best title to the children.

They are trying to get him to visit in Jan, the same weekend that Yuri Wright is visiting.

There was an interview with Carmen Williams dad in which he said Michigan had been very respectful in expressing interest in the wake of the penn st scandal. Also said that Armani is a big fan of the Penn St interim coach and would stay committed if he was hired as the HC. Have to imagine that they will hire from outside and clean house though.

In recent weeks Mallory has made his way to Reeves' school and his home to impress upon him the part he could play in achieving that success.

"(Mallory) was pretty much stressing how much they want me and that their need for corners is (substantial)," said Reeves. "They feel I can help early and make a great impact and help them get to where they want to be. They feel like I'm an elite corner and that's why they want me in their program."

Coach Mallory visited last week or the week before.

"in case things didn't go the way I wanted" --

Like in case the entire football program was embroiled in a lacivious and ill-conceived cover-up that has already brought down the storied head coach, and will likely lead to criminal allegations against several top university officials, not to mention an ominous NCAA investigation that has the death penalty on the table?

Like that way?

He would be huge for this class. I feel like he would definitely be able to contribute right away. How do we not have an easy time recruiting CBs with the way Blake Countess played this year?

Michigan was one of his favorites, but not THE favorite, apparently.  That's too bad.  I hate to feed off the misfortune of other schools (particularly Big Ten schools), but that's all part of recruiting.  I hope he has a change of heart and makes the choice to Go Blue.

Wondering if it will be Wright and Reeves or maybe either/or. Plus if we're after Ty Isaac now then Hoke still wants a running back so maybe we'll start pursuing Shell at Pitt despite recent Twitter affirmations.

and then the coaches cooled off on him somewhat, which is why he went ahead and committed to PSU. They cooled of on him and that other recruit from NJ, whose name escapes me. Not sure if it was because we already picked up Richardson or if it was because the coaches felt he was not serious but I thought he was a Michigan lean early on. Dunn was always an OSU lean, from the beginning.

Impressive kid.  Great pick-up if he flips, but it sounds like PSU will be tough to beat unless the new HC is someone he isn't thrilled with.

I highly doubt the current staff will be retained.  Too much baggage regardless of what they knew.

Man, would I like to see him go blue!  I never watched any video on him until now.  I just watched this, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCf1rjgLFg4.  Sometimes I get bored watching a video because it is just the same thing over an over but I never knew what he was going to do next and it captivated me.

His playing style fits perfectly in the controlled aggression moniker.  He would probably be my favorite commit if he went to Michigan.

at this point of time.  It will entirely depend on who the new coaches are at PSU and whether Reeves likes them or not.  I just can't imagine Penn State deciding to keep Tom Bradley.  They could, but it would be very dumb and another PR nightmare which they don't need.  I'd think PSU would be trying hard to get a new coach ASAP.  What was once a very strong recruiting class is disintegrating rapidly.

I think it will be tough right now. However, from everything I've heard, it appears Penn State has yet to interview anyone for the head coaching job. Now, it might be a quick process to hire a new coach, but it's December 15th and they said they'd have a coach by Christmas time. Armani'd probably want to see his position coach as well. Penn State better get on it. I could see Armani scheduling an official if they don't have a HC by that point.

I though that Bradley should still get the job.

I think Bradley is getting a bad deal here. He was obviously the (unofficial) coach in waiting and stayed at the program with that in mind. I have no doubt he could have taken other jobs over the last few years. So if it is true that he had nothing to do with Sandusky and did not know about it, there is no reason that he should not be the leading candidate for the job.

Howeva, the problem is in the possibility that maybe he did and maybe he knew. If they hire him and it more facts linking Bradley come out later then it is an even bigger PR nightmare for the school (if that is even possible).

The only way for the school to truly be able to move past this, long term, is to bring someone from the outside and truly start distancing themselves frmo the past. Unfortunately, that move doesn't do right by someone who was very loyal to the program.

Is there an agreement amongst people on the board that the coaches would take Wright and Reeves in this class?  I don't recall seeing much about taking both.  Will they take both or just one should they both commit?  I know this depends on the time frame.  It seems as though we will get a commitment from Yuri on his official visit in January.  What if Reeves decides to go blue before that?

I think my favorite part of this article was Williams respect for Fred Jackson.  It doesn't get any better than this!

"I know Fred's going to have (Reeves') best interest at heart. I know he will give him tough love when he needs it and I know he will give him a hug when he needs it. He's like family. I have great confidence that he'll be there to take care of him if need be, so that's a comfort."

That's love of family baby!
