Perhaps Muschamp can hire Mark Mangino... he was an offensive guru once upon a time.

I may get zapped again for this but more than a couple of you are sounding like Buckeye fans (talking of Hoke) with all the fat references. Let's be bigger than that......I mean more mature.

Patriots, then on to ND, then OC at Florida, then OC at Kansas. Right?
Folliwing the pace of this spiral, he'll be running backs coach at Nevada/Reno in 2013.

Where he actually did a decent job -- although he left for Florida right before the playoffs.
The "schematic advantage" joke, like all good jokes, contains an insight -- Weis (like GERG) doesn't seem to be able to create the kind of adjustable schemes required on the 23-and-under level, where you will always have players at different stages of development together on the field. His schemes work in the NFL, but they don't have the kind of flexibility needed to mix an 18-year-old true-freshman corner with a 23-year-old fifth-year senior safety.

Kansas is really limiting their recruiting with this one, schematic advantage aside.. charlie cant do in homes with recruits in apartments........... If they are not on the first floor. As a matter of a fact, that is one of the first 3 questions asked in the initial phone conversation..
Weiss ... Hey how you doing_________?
__________- oh good, how bout you coachm
Weiss...... Just fine. So it looks like you live in an apartment.. I need to know if it is first floor and wheelchair accessable (no offense intended to anyone)..
__________- well, no sir I live on the third floor.
Weiss... Shit! Ok hold on (covers phone) .......CLAUSSEN... GET IN HERE.
Claussen... Uhh yes uncle charlie?
Weiss.. Hey boy, I need you to go to _________'s house for an in home....... And bring me back some damn chicken wangs too

6 separate instances of the phrase "decided schematic advantage" have been used.
I love this blog.

I kind of feel bad for Charlie Weis. Not because he's fat, but because he has a daughter who is handicapped. His obesity and unlikeable persona aside, it's hard to hate a guy who has a handicapped kid.

The schematic advantage that Weis will have at Kansas is being seated close to the buffet table.
