Absolutely. The difference is very obvious when you see a player from another team interviewed - "I've done a lot for my team" and "I think I deserve ____ award", etc. Our young men are always very humble and respectful of their teammates and coaches. It's great to watch them get rewarded for their hard work and perseverance!

How cool is that? Good for you. National recognition for your craft!

December 8th, 2011 at 9:04 PM ^
Very proud of you Mr. Molk, way to do our first name proud!
December 8th, 2011 at 9:06 PM ^
Your first pro endorsement is lined up!
December 8th, 2011 at 9:07 PM ^
What a legacy of leadership this class will leave for the team. I am happy to see Molk getting some recognition. You would think the media might have noticed.
December 8th, 2011 at 9:07 PM ^
Quick, someone call and tell him!
December 8th, 2011 at 9:11 PM ^
He had to win the award, did you see all of the plays where he pulled and went to the outside for blocks during the season. And other than the bobbled snap between him and Denard against tsiO, did you ever see any of his snaps go horribly awry. Molk hands down was the best center in the country and worked his butt off all season.

OUTSTANDING! And, Spuck Farty.

Tremendous honor for Dave Molk! That kid came a long way from a lowly recruited 3 star or whatever he was.. but rankings can not measure a player's heart and will. I cant wait to see him play on Sundays.
December 8th, 2011 at 9:41 PM ^
Hes also Michigans first Walter Camp first team All American since Jake Long
December 8th, 2011 at 9:47 PM ^

December 8th, 2011 at 9:55 PM ^
This win is probably a nice selling point for Michigan in recruiting the #1 center in America.

78 All Americans.

Congrats and well-deserved. Just a great leader at UM, one who overcame so much turmoil with the coaching staff but never lost sight of his and his team's goals.

'Merica!
December 8th, 2011 at 11:25 PM ^
One of my favorite players who has donned the winged helmet. Congrats! Definitely well-deserved.
December 8th, 2011 at 11:51 PM ^
Agreed. Molk is something very special and this award is well-earned. Great player, even better story. Molk represents all that's good in a Michigan Man!
December 9th, 2011 at 12:16 AM ^
Molk has been through it all. Losing, injuries, coaching changes, and even quarterback changes. He is the glue of the team. Glad to see the him get to achieve some success with the team before he graduates, and also glad to see him get some individual honors. All-American Rimington winner is big time, they'll have to call Tom Brady up to change that "This is Michigan" video now. If someone has to call Tom fuckin Brady because of something you achieved, that is pretty legit. If you watch the videos from 1 or 2 years ago, Molk was kind of immature and rash and over the years (like when he dropped an F bomb that MGoBlue.com completely missed, lol) he's really grown into a great leader for the team. Here's to hoping he has a great NFL career.

Brian to pull out his post of Penn St in 2008 when he picture paged Molk doing a reach block and predicted that Molk would be good (I think that's pretty close to how it went down, anyways). Great call, Brian.

After all he has been through with three different coaches....Congrats!
GO BLUE!!

Molk will be missed next year. Beyond his great skills and leadership, he was always fun to listen to when interviewed.
Congrats on a job well done.
