Hmm, I'd like to think we have a solid shot vs the Colorado TireFire..err..Buffs.
December 6th, 2011 at 7:19 PM ^
Colorado is one of the last teams I would expect Michigan to be in competition with for Wright. The CU program has a long way to go before they start winning.
December 6th, 2011 at 11:02 PM ^
Let's be fair people, Colorado did FINALLY win a road game with their seniors! That's definitely something recruits will love.
December 6th, 2011 at 7:19 PM ^
Colorado? How the hell did they even get in the picture?
December 6th, 2011 at 7:22 PM ^
His former teammate, Tony Jones, goes there.
December 6th, 2011 at 7:24 PM ^
There has got to be another Tony Jones around the UM campus he can be friends with.
December 6th, 2011 at 7:35 PM ^
Who the f#&k needs Tony Jones when you have MIKE JONES! Someone tell Yuri to hit him up on the low ... 281-330-8004.
December 6th, 2011 at 8:07 PM ^
MIKE JONES!!!
December 6th, 2011 at 8:05 PM ^
i suggest you hit mike jones up on the low, cuz mike jones about to blow, you see.
December 6th, 2011 at 7:22 PM ^
Zing!
December 6th, 2011 at 9:32 PM ^
You've obviously never been there. Colorado should be doing better in recruiting than they do. Great school and lots going for it... better conference, mild winters (you can ski and golf in the same day on the front range), lots of pretty girls from CA and AZ, beautiful campus, etc.
The only problem is the town of Boulder is so. fucked. up.
December 6th, 2011 at 11:36 PM ^
with Boulder?
December 6th, 2011 at 11:54 PM ^
We have pretty girls, great beer and cheap drugs. What more could you possibly ask for?
December 6th, 2011 at 11:54 PM ^
I graduated from CU and there is nothing wrong wIth boulder its continually rated one of he best places to live in the country, i don't know what's so "fucked up" about Boulder...outside of having a shitty football team. At least i got to rush the field when they beat WVU. But I would be shocked if he picked CU over Michigan.
December 7th, 2011 at 8:55 AM ^
Boulder is fantastic. I'll be sure to wear my Michigan gear around town this weekend and have my friends do the same so Yuri can see the Michigan love.
December 6th, 2011 at 11:53 PM ^
The Gary Barnett scandals really turned CU Football into a festering pile of suck, which is fine by me because as far as I am concerned that was the most outrageous scandal in college football until the Jerry Sandusky thing. Still, that was a while ago now. One would think the recovery should have gotten underway by now.
December 7th, 2011 at 2:55 AM ^
and I go to Michigan, thank you very much. Ann Arbor is very similar to Boulder. The biggest differences are that Boulder doesn't get along with the school and CU is piss poor right now (took summer classes there).
December 6th, 2011 at 9:59 PM ^
Jimmy Smith got drafted in 1st round. They're telling him that NFL will still find him at Colorado. That could be an explaination.
December 6th, 2011 at 10:42 PM ^
The NFL will find you regardless of where you go, as long as you get a chance at the field. They found Bulaga at New Mexico, for god's sake. If Wright's the real deal, he could go to Miami (NTM), UNLV or Harvard, and he'll still go in the first round.
December 6th, 2011 at 7:21 PM ^
Good grief. Always expect the unexpected in recruiting.
December 6th, 2011 at 7:21 PM ^
leggeaux epic backfield!!
December 6th, 2011 at 7:23 PM ^
Dare I say... I like Michigan's chances?
December 6th, 2011 at 7:26 PM ^
Wasn't he super high on Rutgers not too long ago?
December 6th, 2011 at 7:28 PM ^
it's Rutgers!
December 6th, 2011 at 8:02 PM ^
Instate Rutgers seems less ridiculous than out of state Colorado for a 5-star prospect. Looks to be Michigan all the way.
December 6th, 2011 at 8:17 PM ^
I concur as to the first point, but remain cautious as to the second. Maybe he loves Boulder. People choose their schools for all sorts of reasons. Hey, some people love to ski. Some people love to ski. Some people juggle geese.
December 6th, 2011 at 8:20 PM ^
While I love to ski and would choose Colorado for this reason, I think it would just be depressing for a football player who loves to ski because I highly doubt that they're allowed to by the coach. It would be like a kid in a candy store with no money.
December 6th, 2011 at 8:33 PM ^
I don't know about the skiing, but I imagine it would be grim just because of the constant losing. But in a world where an elite RB like Shell chooses Pitt (which, granted, is home for him) over the likes of Alabama, I think it's safe that recruits move in mysterious ways.
December 6th, 2011 at 9:04 PM ^
True, never bet the house on where a recruit will end up. That said, I have a hard time seeing a Jersey kid pining for the slopes of Colorado. UM is his childhood fave, so I'm starting to feel better about this one. C'mon Yuri, our helmets have wings!
December 6th, 2011 at 10:30 PM ^
Lots of good boarders come out of Jersey. Danny Kass Olympic medalist is from Toms River. Just sayin', and Cosmos pizza is amazing.
December 6th, 2011 at 11:57 PM ^
Abo's is better. Cosmo's does have the superior spicy ranch though.
December 7th, 2011 at 5:43 AM ^
You are right. I know this is moot since he decommitted, but Gunner Khiel initially picked Indiana.
December 6th, 2011 at 11:22 PM ^
Zoltan definitely snowboarded during 1 or 2 holidays when he was at Michigan.. I know this for a fact... So the coaches might allow it.
December 7th, 2011 at 12:00 AM ^
That's probably because no one tells Zoltan what to do.
December 7th, 2011 at 9:05 AM ^
A punter with a knee injury...how useful
December 7th, 2011 at 2:51 AM ^
Olympic skier who had a stint with the Eagles? He played at CU and he was able to ski at the same time
December 7th, 2011 at 3:26 AM ^
I did forget about him obviously. I didn't know he made it to the NFL either. That's interesting. I remember them hyping him up big time during the olympics but I didn't know if he was actually good or just good enough for the purposes of Bob Costas. I would just think the coaches wouldn't want a kid to risk a season or career for another sport that can potentially be as much of an injury risk as football. Even my high school bball coach didn't want us going skiing during the season.
December 7th, 2011 at 10:45 AM ^
His name is Jeremy Bloom and he did have a short NFL career with the Eagles if I remember correctly.
Bloom's mainly notable because he was made ineligbile by the NCAA because he had endorsement income even though it was for skiing and not football.
December 6th, 2011 at 7:27 PM ^
Yuri damn wright we are in his top 2.
December 6th, 2011 at 7:27 PM ^
If he still plans on taking more officials, this can still be fluid. Still hoping for this final piece to a lockdown backfield in Ann Arbor. Go Blue, Yuri.
December 6th, 2011 at 7:28 PM ^
Is Yuri either Russian or Jewish?
December 6th, 2011 at 7:28 PM ^
But Sam Webb tweeted that Brionte Dunn has said where he's visiting this weekend. It's behind a pay wall so I can't see if it's us or them. Anyone else able to tell?..
December 6th, 2011 at 7:31 PM ^
Kalis this weekend.
December 6th, 2011 at 7:37 PM ^
Bc today a certain guy named Tom posted at his new gig that as of today he wwasnt sure if he was coming here or to c-bus this weekend. Hoke is in-home w him Thursday so I'm assuming it is here w Kalis.
Edit: wasn't trying to say u were wrong, just was making sure it was the new update that was just released. Thanks,
December 6th, 2011 at 7:58 PM ^
Anyway if he's rescheluded then my bad...don't keep up with kids twitter accounts.
Edit [Don't know where you are getting your info from, but Dunn will be tripping to AA this weekend.]
December 6th, 2011 at 8:02 PM ^
Is from sam Webb and Steve wiltfong. 2 guys who work for recruiting services. Scout and 247. Original is from bill Greene the Ohio 247 recruit guy.
December 6th, 2011 at 8:06 PM ^
Tom Beaverland and they are reporting that Dunn will be visiting?
December 6th, 2011 at 7:34 PM ^
This is over fellas. No way big Kyle Kalis allows Dunn to wriggle off the hook.
December 6th, 2011 at 7:42 PM ^
Another tweet just said he's going down to Ohio this weekend.
