Sugar Bowl Ticket Info

Submitted by codeBLUE11 on

The athletic department has sent out an email detailing ticket information for the Sugar Bowl.

Students: up to 8 tickets can be purchased for $97 a piece on mgoblue.com/tickets starting Monday, December 5 at 8:30 am on a first-come first-served basis.

General Public:  $125 (Terrace), $145 (Plaza), $155 (Premium Terrace), $175 (Mezzanine Endzone) or $185 (Club) also on mgoblue.com/tickets

Deadline for ordering is Thursday, December 8th at 5pm. All information can be found here: http://www.mgoblue.com/tickets/fbl-bowl-tickets.html?hq_e=el&hq_m=234750&hq_l=2&hq_v=a58e077bf2

Edit: Here is the seating chart for the superdome. Appears that the blue area is either $125 or $155 depending on location. Red area $145. Yellow area endzone $145 or $175 sideline. That's at least my best guess, although it doesn't make that much sense.

But thanks for this link.  I got my tickets in the mail, section 116 row 35, and it really shows what it'll look like. Maybe a little inside the 20, not too far down (just as I requested), and on the Good Guys side.  Should be a great view.

I agree with you, from what I've seen, terrance sideline is pretty damn good.  Club or Upper Box look to be the best, but I just bought my tickets and I'm less than 20 rows from Upper Box.

Three tickets for $175 each.  Terrace 612, Row 25.  It's visitors side (Michigan's side) too!  The view:

It looks like the plaza seating (the 100s) is too low. I'm thinking club has to be the best seats. And any idea what yard line most of the mgoblue tickets are on?

trust me. there's no bad seats in the superdome either. probably, in my experience, only beaten by Michigan stadium. fwiw, if anyone has a choice between low row upper terrace and something like club, take the low row terrace. best seats i had were 50 yd line row 1 upper deck. way better than tickets $200 more 20 feet below me.

Exactly what Geaux_Blue said.

I actually prefer sitting in the endzone to see things develop and the 600 level seats are not bad.  I was at the Saints and Lions game last night (I have become a Saints fan but the Honolulu Blue was out in full effect) and for $50 per ticket you couldn't beat our view.

From what I've heard and similar events I've been to in NOLA, it is usually pretty easy to scalp tickets outside. My roommate is a VT grad so we'll be roadtripping down.

like one of the official Michigan-Sugar bowl threads, so I have a question:

ESPN just posted an article (here) in which they write:

"Hoke said after the victory over Ohio State, which ended a school-record, seven-game losing streak in the storied series, that his team was deserving of a BCS bid."

I thought this was a lie...is there any truth to this remark?

I just bought my tickets .I'm in the plaza I think. You can go onto the stadium website and see what the view looks like from certain section. That's how I pick my seats

check Heiko's transcript of  Monday's press conference .  The Detroit News refers to a comment Hoke made re BCS, but does not  provide an exact quote.

but does anyone know if there's a general public allotment and a student ticket allotment?  Basically, what I mean is, are student tickets separate from the general public?  I know it's a stupid question, but I don't want them to run out too.  Also, if I buy them at 8:30 tomorrow morning, am I guaranteed to get them?  Sorry, I just don't want to be left in the cold here.  Already told some friends we were going.

There is a student section at the bowl game, so yes, they are seperate from the general public. Basically, its a much better location for the price I think. Although I don't think they check m-cards so anyone should be able to use the student tickets once they are purchased.

The way they make it sound is that as long as you order by the deadline you should get tickets, but the earlier you buy, the better your tickets. Hope this helps.
