But there can be both. Some prefer the format of one, some prefer the other.  And while a liveblog probably won't be of much interest to anyone for ALL the bowl games, like the thread will, it's immediacy might be the preference for some with the Bowl announcement.

It amazes me the level of hypocrisy that goes into claiming Alabama deserves a second shot, by focusing on losses but not wins.  Yes OSU's loss is worse than Alabama's, but their wins are far superior.  The argument everyone uses to keep the Boise States and Houstons out of the championship is based on quality of wins.  If they go undefeated, nobody thinks they are one of the top two teams in the nation because their wins are not of the same quality.  Now, all of a sudden, quality of wins doesn't matter.

All I can say is, if OSU wins their bowl game, they deserve to be second in the country, but watch, and the same SEC lovers will claim LSU and Alabama should be one and two (or two and one) no matter how the game turns out.
