Michigan, Maryland, Virginia, Auburn, Florida, Oklahoma, Cal, and USC. Go Blue!

He won't going to Auburn according to a recent espn insider article FWIW, But UF is a serious factor atm.

This kid has more cuts that American Idol. I hope we get him, but I feel like in a month we will be standing by hoping to be in his top 6, then 3-4 etc... I hope we can get him, but I'm not holding my breathe on this one

How can anybody have a "top 8" in anything?  I mean if you go to Baskin Robbins you seldom whittle your choices down to a "top 8" before making the call.

Just saying.

So you're saying that when you were choosing colleges you had a "top 8"?  I'm impressed!  I had one (Michigan) and when they passed on me for low grades I went to CMU to get my GPA up and then transferred.

I guess I'm behind the times.  I need to get a top 8.  As a matter of fact I'm going to come up with my "top 8" choices for my spring break vacation plans.

My point dude was that NOBODY has a top 8 - he probably has 2 or 3 he's really interested in and is having fun with the process.  Nothing wrong with that - but for the board to actually give a shit that we're in some kid's "top 8" is hilarious to me.

I unofficially heard that he unofficially has eliminated Auburn, Florida, USC, Florida, Oklahoma, Maryland, and Virginia. My unofficial source seems to think that we are in the top 3 at least. (source: mgoblog thread "Stefon Diggs Top 8", 2011)

The dynamic of all these schools in terms of geography and style of offense is interesting to me.  My guess is he will end up choosing between Michigan, Florida and Cal.  Hopefully Mr. Countess will be in his ear for the next couple months.

I think we should have as much of a chance as anyone. We need this guy or someone like him who can play outside receiver and slot and make big plays in the short/intermediate passing game.

I don't see him going to Maryland. UVA has had bad luck at QB lately, it seems. USC and OU worry me as much as anyone with the talent that they've had at QB and WR lately. It's going to be a good fight, but if we can snag this guy from those other schools, that says a lot about us and where we're heading, I hope.
