Big Ten Recruiting Class Rankings 11-20-11

Submitted by Ace on

Besides a few minor individual rating changes, there's very little of note for the teams at the top of the Big Ten rankings this week. A lot of new commits for teams in the bottom half, however, including Illinois picking up four new commits to leap past Nebraska in the battle to stay out of last place. Action since last rankings:

11-6-11: Rivals just got around to posting this one, but Illinois picked up kicker Ryan Frian.
11-13-11: Minnesota picks up Jeremy Baltazar.
11-15-11: Iowa picks up Greg Mabin. Dominic Twitty decommits from Minnesota.
11-16-11: Northwestern picks up Eric Wilson. Indiana adds Shaine Boyle, David Cooper, and Tregg Waters. Iowa adds Daumantas Venckus. Illinois picks up Robbie Bain and Keith Brown.
11-17-11: Illinois picks up Lamar Atkins.

Since they're in the middle of nowhere, in a state that doesn't produce a lot of local talent, Nebraska has to go national (not MSU national, but really national) to pull in a decent recruiting class. This makes it tough to land a lot of recruits early, but they usually make a late surge once they're able to get more guys on campus and also fly out themselves to visit recruits. I'd be pretty shocked if they finished near the bottom when all is said and done, though this is still a slow start, even by their standards.

Rivals has removed Pharaoh Brown as a commit.  Someone posted on the board thread that according to Tim (YTT), he is no longer being considered as a Michigan recruit.  I guess we'll see.
