MBB v. W. Illinois; Open Thread & Stream Link

Submitted by MGoChippewa on

The Wolverines take their 2-0 record into a game with Western Illinois tonight, tipping off at 8:30 in the newly renovated Crisler Arena.  This is Michigan's last warmup before a huge matchup against Memphis in the Maui Invitational on Monday.  Kenpom has no respect for WIU, ranking them 332nd among 345 Div 1 basketball programs.  The game is streaming on  espn3.com but for those who don't qualify for their coverage, here's a link to the action....

EDIT

The non-ESPN stream link is not working tonight. Will update if I find a viable link.

DOUBLE EDIT

Not having any luck finding a link, best I can do for you is provide free audio:

also getting down the court really fast. That should have been an easy transition layup or dunk. Not sure how they got two guys down that fast. They've been rebounding okay, so they're not just totally surrendering the rebound to go on D.

For the announcers to blame M's woes on looking ahead to Memphis in Maui. It's not like Beilein is wearing a Hawaiian shirt and drinking piña coladas on the sidelines. Hmmm...now I want a drink.

At least the coaches son who went down was able to walk in the handshake line.  It looked like one of those greak injuries that happen with minimal contact.

Whatever. A win is a win. Tough game to play under the circumstances.

I still think we have a good shot at knocking off Memphis. Go Blue!

gotta swallow their whistles. Nothing but bad calls followed up by worse make up calls. We'll never beat a decent team shooting free throws like that. Horrible game Metrics. Wide open 3s were missed often in the 2nd half. This team hasn't played well in any of their first couple game, including the exhibition. I am expecting a slow start to the season and we'll pick it up once big 10 play starts.

Couldn't watch the game and I was baffled by the final score. I thought this was supposed to be easy. So the problem was bad calls, terrible free throw shooting, sloppy play?
