Due to the unexpected and incorrect result of last week's game, THE KNOWLEDGE has  proven inaccurate for once

.

thus, THE KNOWLEDGE will call it quits to the season (in a more detailed post written later), but continue to deliver on the promise of keeping THE CHALLENGE running until EOS

.

yes

.

pointers to the illinois game:

  • Illinois will win
  • Michigan will struggle mightily to move the ball (on the ground or through the air)
  • Illinois will run the ball rather well

THE KNOWLEDGE may have been inaccurate, but he still soars and leaves all doubters in a trial of dust.  It is my belief that THE KNOWLEDGE will soon come to this very blog and make his boldest statement yet.  The Iowa loss was a mere analomy.  All hail THE KNOWLEDGE and thank him for gracing us with his presence.

Michigan 22

Illinois 24

Dude, you totally went into the future last week, got wasted, and completely forgot about everything that happened in the Iowa game. That's why your information last week was off. It happens to the best of us, you just gotta get back on your feet and get yourself back in the game.

Calling it quits??  Say it ain't so!  As if this week couldn't get any worse.  First, dealing with a Michigan loss, then dealing with learning that college football had a child molester lurking in its midst for decades, and now learning that THE_KNOWLEDGE is calling it quits?  Man, this sucks.  I don't even think I can make a prediction.  I'm not in the right state of mind.

....to shed some tears.   Let it all out.  It will be cathartic*.  Yes.

*In this context, "cathartic" is intended to take on its medicinal meaning of: "cathartic is a substance that accelerates defecation."

BTW, UM 17 Ill 17 at the end of regulation.   One OT later gives us UM 24 Ill 20.   Final verdict:

UM 24 Ill 20

EDIT:  That smarty-pants StephenHawking has dibs on my original score.  Update it to:

UM 27 Ill 20

I'm sure THE KNOWLEDGE is too humble to admit this, but I know he saw the Hemingway catch, assumed it was a TD and figured we'd win the game in OT.

YES.

Law of averages gets Illinois out of their scoring funk this week.

Michigan has to be fighting for redemption this week.  Have to be fired up and not so flat.
