The McGary nervousness has begun for Sparty

Submitted by aaamichfan on

I took a gander over to the RCMB to see what kind of spin they were putting on the situation. Sure enough, in line with the usual Michigan obsession they have, this is the most active current thread on their board.

Yes, I know. This post is slightly lowbrow. Still though, it's fun to see them squirming at their impending "second rate" status in both football and basketball.

I've learned from Spartan fans in the past four years, and even more so this year, is that they're not logical nor reasonable towards the future of either their football or basketball teams.  They crazy.

Can we wait until McGary actually makes a decision to play somewhere? He could still end up picking Duke or Florida tomorrow, making that RCMB thread irrelevant.

I guess the trend on that message board is that he sucks, and if he was any good at all he would be a spartan. Supposedly if the spartans offered tomarrow he would take it, because Mcgary begged Izzo to offer him and was turned down... Where do these ideas come from?

<br>I think Beilein has changed the tide on the rivalry. Hell people in East Lansing are starting to believe him. Never in a million years I would have thought that. Selling Michigan jerseys in East Lansing is a good start.

Riddle me this.  Does anyone know why  Anderson who is from Michigan not enroll and MSU and is going to college in NY instead.  Maybe he has family there?  Sounds like a tragic story for the young man and my heart goes out to him but one does start to wonder why so many Spartan B-Ballers are leaving that program.

I'm as big a homer for UM as there is, but MSU will start giving a crap about UM basketball when they show an ability to consistently beat good teams, including State, yearin/year-out.  Getting McGary would be a coup, but let's not get too worked up about what the bottom of the MSU barrel has to say about a kid, good or bad.

Sparty needs help with outlines:

A) He hasn't committed anywhere yet. and 2) Can someone explain how this is supposed to work?
Found in link, first page.

Not bashing you in any way, but you say MSU has their normal obsession with Michigan, and they do of course, but then you say that while perusing a Sparty site. Pot meet kettle?

MSU is deff on a down turn.  average up there NCAA seeds the last ten years.  I bet you it's over 6.  Thats good but not what anyone would call elite.  they had some great tourney runs and a ton of luck.  they are slowly fading though.  5 years from now MSU is middle tier big ten in BB and FB.

but how many Big Ten programs have recently gotten a higher rated player than McGary if Michigan lands him today? One of Indiana's monster class guys?  State has generally done it with numbers, a lot of highly rated guys, but none on that super-elite level, at least recently.

so much is proof that the planets and stars are realigning to their proper places and they know it. Soon the hating is all they will have because victories in Football and BB over UM will be few and far between...
