Purdue Fingerguns

Submitted by Dess on

I was wondering if anyone has the clip when ESPN zoomed in on the fingerguns during the purdue game? I want to take a good snapshot of it if its high enough quality and make a wallpaper or something along those lines.

First and foremost, the thread was titled differently when I posted my comment than it is now. I'm pretty sure it was only your handle. I've been around this board long enough to know the epic asploding of OP's when threads have ambiguous titles, and I was actually trying to make light of that. I can see how it may have come off as condescending, and that certainly wasn't my intention. I hope you find what you were looking for as this is quite a resourceful group of people.

*May Brian, hallowed be thy name, still have mercy on your soul nonetheless.

....that there are multiple torrents of the game which you could inspect on your own for the aforementioned frame, which you can then capture and alter to your heart's content, yes?

LSA: Welcome to Mcdonald's, would you like to try our new pineapple mango McShake?

Dess: No thank you. I would like a Big Mac. If you have it. Please.

LSA (whispers): I'm trying not be a negative Hamburglar here, but you are about to get your dickhole smashed for this order. May Ronald have mercy on your soul.

Dess: Uhhh why??

LSA: You do realize that there are cows, multiple in fact, that you could slaughter, butcher, season, and grill, yes? There are gardens with tomatos and lettuce  and onions that you could harvest, pick and slice to your hearts content. From that same garden, you can take cucumbers and pickle them in vinegar (make the vinegar from grain or barley), and then slice those. Go to your nearest field and get yeast and flour for the buns -- as well as sesame flowers for their seeds which you can sprinkle on top. . Oh, and before you slaughter the cow, make sure to milk it, for the cheese you'll be making. Hope it's not too late. Yes?

LSA: Pull up to the next window, that'll be $4.25.

that is probably the best post I have readon on this blog in the years that I have been here. I have to admit, the first couple of sentences I was wondering where you were going with it, then it was pure tremendous.Seriously, I have been here a long time and that is the best post I have read.

exactly who is he shooting, anyway?

My money is on Ace Hanlan at in The Quick & The Dead. You don't think Gene Hackman shoots that well, do you?

 How's that Left Hand, Ace?

 Huh?

You see, unlike some people, I really can shoot with two hands.

 Wha?!

Your Gunfighter is Dead! I don't understand! All you do is complain that you can't possibly withstand my incredible blocks. That you have no hope of getting to Denard, and you work your fingers to the bone just to get to me. Well clearly you haven't got the message! This is my stadium! If you live to make a tackle, it is because I allow it!

I think a picture of Vince shooting the opponent would be an awesome shirt. I envision it like this shirt but obviously blue:

Unfortunately I have no shirt making skills and don't even know where to begin

Has anybody seen Vince do the finger guns in a non pass situation? It seems everytime he does that it is a passing play. I just hope this won't give away our plays, because I'm a huge fan of the finger guns.

I was actually thinking the same thing at the Game on Saturday, but i noticed a couple times during the game he pointed and it was a running play.

I think its interesting that some people get uber pissed at AJ Hawk for flipping off a teammate in jest, but other people think its uber sweet that Vincent Smith mock-shoots his opponents.

I don't think either instance is offensive at all, but I enjoy pointing out America's odd puritanical tendencies.

Remember when Vince first did it during the minnesota(?) game? I feel like he read the thread that we made and now he does it every down just to please us.
