Minnesota beats our next opponent Iowa 22-21 to end the quest of being the worst B1G team ever.

onsides kick with 8 minutes left was a great call. Coach Kill said if it didnt work they would have ran him out of town. Good for the Gopher and Coach Kill.

They will probably come out with a high energy level, but their confidence level has to be pretty low now. They might crack if we can jump on them early.

I think their bigger problem is that their defense just isn't very good this year after most of their best players the last few years moved on. They've faced a parade of bad offenses and are still giving up an average of 400 yards a game. We should beat them fairly easily if we don't self-destruct more than usual.

Coker is a battering ram.   Our front 7 will need to drive through him and wrap up well next week.  Also, I hope Countess is up to the task of covering McNutt next week.

Right, but that whole premise is ridiculous - a "worst big ten team ever" designation that only takes conference games into account doesn't really tell you anything . Would a team be the "worst big 10 team ever" if they lost all of their conference games by the largest average margain ever, but then also beat 3 ranked teams in non conference games? Of course not.

I felt really bad for them. It's never fun to see a team play as poorly as they were (unless it's our sworn enemies). Fun to see how happy and fired up those kids were

Great news for Minnesota and Jerry Kill.  It seems like maybe he is doing better healthwise, too.  I'm not worried about Iowa's attitude or motivation, though.  Michigan always gets almost every team on the schedule's best shot anyway.

I don't like our chances of winning the division. I just don't see MSU losing to anyone left on their schedule. However, if you think @Iowa is their only threat to lose, Northwestern usually puts up a good fight with MSU. Seeing as last year, Dantonio needed to resort to fake punts and trick plays to pull that one out.

I don't like our odds, but I still think MSU can pull a Sparty and cough one up to Northwestern or Iowa. However, I think the odds are probably higher that we lose one more.

I thought playing Iowa was going to be a pretty close game.  Since Minnesota gashed Iowa's defense for 178 on the ground and 193 in the air...I am very much looking forward to this game.  Coker (spelling?) looks good but their defense just looked awful.
