cool story bro
hahaha sorry.. couldn't resist
October 25th, 2011 at 2:58 AM ^
Yeah, but I don't think this is deserving of the cool story bro tag. It's something half the blog has been waiting for ever since we kept getting the teaser diaries.

Downloaded at 9:15 PDT. It's good reading so far
October 25th, 2011 at 1:15 AM ^
UPS says it is en route. I prefer to go old school and still read books printed on paper. Sounds crazy, I know.
October 25th, 2011 at 1:45 AM ^
Upvote for preferring tangible books.

If there are no more books, then what happens to bookcase makers worldwide.
October 25th, 2011 at 2:23 PM ^
Just upgrade to iOS 5 and you get a free bookcase!

I'd rather stay up all night watching the Toledo game in slow motion.

One for myself, obviously, and another for my RR-hating, "Bo-is-God" fire-breathing father.
Should be entertaining, to say the least.
October 25th, 2011 at 3:18 AM ^
Bo lovers aren't supposed to feel uncomfortable by the book. Carr lovers are.
October 25th, 2011 at 5:37 AM ^
Not to say I don't love Bo (I do, seriously the nicest person I've ever met), but it's the same family tree. The old man (my father) was a staunch supporter of Lloyd, as he was of Moeller. Rodriguez came in and if they won, he said nothing. If they lost, he was griping, complaining, and moaning about anything, something.
Also, I love how because my last post had "RR" in it, it got tagged as flamebait? Really?

My book is en route as well. According to Amazon its in Hebron, KY. Expected delivery date says Friday, but from experience I wouldn't be surpirsed at all to have it arrive earlier. Luckily I'm done with exams for the week or else I would be having some serious time management issues.
October 25th, 2011 at 3:13 AM ^
in Hebron, KY, which Mapquest tells me is 318 miles away from me.
October 25th, 2011 at 2:26 AM ^
And free overnight shipping on things like this book.

Although the free shipping has probably cost me more because of all the impulse buying and will cost me more in the future now that I'm hooked...
October 25th, 2011 at 2:31 AM ^
Haha, I was just writing my post bragging about amazon prime student as you posted this. Pretty random for being 2:30 am.
October 25th, 2011 at 3:00 AM ^
Yeah was just finishing up a Matlab project and then got excited when I found out the book was being lasershipped for tomorrow! Unfortunately, between work and homework there will probably be very little reading for me until the weekend.
October 25th, 2011 at 3:11 AM ^
Yeah, same situation. Probably not a good thing that it's coming tomorrow because once I open it I will get sucked into a world where homework and studying doesn't matter!
October 25th, 2011 at 2:28 AM ^
Ups tracking says it is in route and scheduled for delivery tomorrow!
Love amazon prime...free two day shipping! Less wait.
October 25th, 2011 at 3:40 AM ^
Mine is scheduled to be delivered on Friday. Probably in KY with the others. Guess I know what I'm doing this weekend!

My Kindle copy was auto-downloaded at about 9:30pm PT. Got almost a hundred pages in before bedtime. Living on the West Coast does have some advantages.
October 25th, 2011 at 4:28 AM ^
It's definitely hard to put down, even though it's a bit like pouring rubbing alcohol onto an open scab. Already up to the eve of the 2010 season.
October 25th, 2011 at 5:19 AM ^
I live overseas, so NO SPOILERS PLEASE!!!
(Not sure if this is required: yes this is a sarcastic post. Well except I am overseas so it is taking too long for the book to come. I should really get a kindle.)
October 25th, 2011 at 5:46 AM ^
I think you can just download the kindle app onto your computer and then buy the book.

Is it true that Dumbledore dies?
October 25th, 2011 at 6:29 AM ^
And it's been in the top 100 for 8 days. Pretty impressive sales for a book about football. Then again, it is Michigan football.
October 25th, 2011 at 6:44 AM ^
For those of us who don't reside in the US - Kindle either not available or drastically limited depending on Sprint compatability in the country you reside in. Had to order the hard copy and stuck with international shipping so I won't get it till next week. Don't spoil it for us!
GO BLUE!

Download to your computer and then upload to your kindle. Sorted!
October 25th, 2011 at 6:49 AM ^
I picked up a hard cover, autographed copy last week.....
October 25th, 2011 at 7:27 AM ^
Purchased this morning and it's sitting on my Kindle. (love this thing)
October 25th, 2011 at 7:36 AM ^
Mine is "Shipping soon". Damn you Amazon and your ambiguous shipping deadlines!
October 25th, 2011 at 7:48 AM ^
I have both the book and Battlefield 3 coming today! Decisions, decisions.....
October 25th, 2011 at 8:24 AM ^
you shall not pass.
October 25th, 2011 at 9:26 AM ^
BF3 looks sick. It's probably going to be the next game I buy for my PS3.
October 25th, 2011 at 11:14 AM ^
Sorry to hate on consoles, but you are doing an injustice getting the game on Console..
played early this morning for PC before work, game looks and plays incredible on ultra settings. You find yourself just staring at everything a lot lol..
They have come a long way since BF 1942
October 25th, 2011 at 12:21 PM ^
Battlefield 1942 was freaking amazing, just for the record...
October 25th, 2011 at 12:29 PM ^
They all tell me how much better it is. How can it be better than the totally immersive experience of playing the game in a home theater on a 10 foot screen in 1080p with 7.2 surround? I could never get that on my PC. The PS3 has become the centerpiece to my video (movies and games) entertainment. I work and surf the net on my PC.
October 25th, 2011 at 1:32 PM ^
"I could never get that on my PC."
Yes you could, you just don't know how.
October 25th, 2011 at 3:45 PM ^
It's probably a good thing you don't know anything about computers..
Every good video card these days has HDMI connection... which allows you to hook it up to a tv, or have multiple monitors.
I was planning on hooking my computer up to our 55'' tv soon to play bf3. I just gotta get an ethernet cable long enough to reach it because i hate wireless internet. You can also get Monitors that are much higher than 1080p, not that it is really needed though unless you have 3 screens spanning the whole game.
It isn't a knock on consoles, id just rather play on PC because of the capabilities and how much better everything looks and plays.. I also hate playing with a joystick period
October 25th, 2011 at 4:47 PM ^
HDMI cable to tv, wireless keyboard and mouse = being able to use the computer while sitting in the lazyboy in front of the tv. Its basically just trading out a controller for a keyboard and mouse, but with pc-ness. Or you could even be one of those guys who uses an xbox controller to play pc games.
October 26th, 2011 at 1:04 PM ^
I don't get THOSE guys.
October 25th, 2011 at 9:37 AM ^
I have books backing up on me, and I hate reading. Although, they are probably backing up on me because I hate reading.
October 25th, 2011 at 9:40 AM ^
The same as me, in that at any one time you have anywhere from 3 to 6 books partially read, and even more waiting in line to be partially skimmed until another, more interesting book comes along?
October 25th, 2011 at 9:43 AM ^
Something like that. I've been tasked with finishing the Song of Ice and Fire series so that my friends can finally talk about book 5 with me. Then, this comes out. And in a month or two, Book of Cain comes out.
