All we can do is just not watch the show, I know I'm not going to. Poor choice for the game of the week, I think Auburn-LSU would have been better. Gameday is gonna have to call in the extra security strength to handle all the couch-burning and violence.

If Sparty wins, it makes our only loss not look quite so bad, especially if the MSU defense is as impressive.

If Wisconsin wins big it will be sweet, and if they win at all we are back in a tie atop the Legends division standing.  We'd still be down a tie breaker on the head-to-head record, but within striking distance of the B1G Championship game if we can turn things around and win out.

I have a funny feeling that it will be much closer than "the experts think."  I hope the Badgers drop 70 on them.  What time is the game, I'm going to Vegas next Saturday and I'd like to bet on the Badgers.

After the game yesterday I shut off the TV, turned off my cell, and took a walk in the woods.  I returned home to find my family had returned from an outing.  I cracked a Raging Bitch from Flying Dog Brewery, and still did not turn on the TV.  I spent some quality time with my kids.  I made a roast for the family.  I read some of "A Scanner Darkly" by Philip K. Dick.  I enjoyed dinner with my family and continued drinking....moving along to a few Spaten Ur-Marzens.  I played some more with the kids, put them to bed, and then watched "The Road".  THe depressing nature of the film made me worry that it was going to send me into a tailspin of self-pity, so I watched an episode of Mad Men.  Inadvertently, it was the one where Peggy smokes weed and Smitty mentions that he graduated from UM.  I then watched "Dead Man" with Johnny Depp.  A most rewarding day...and I owe most of it to the fact that UM lost.  Had they won, I would have watched college football all day long, and also searched for highlight.  As it was, I did not want to subject myself to further torture in that regard.

Dantonio's obsession with Michigan ensures that they will have a let down next week.  No way they can be that prepared and hyped again.  They will be tired an bruised from this week.  And wiscy comes off an easy victory.  Bucky will run them over.

I'm not sure how accurate this statement is, but I do expect Wisconsin to win the game.

These are the 4 games following the Michigan game under Dantonio:

2010: MSU 26, Illinois 6 (@East Lansing)

2009: MSU 24, Illinois 14 (@Champaigne)

2008: MSU 25, Wisconsin 24 (@East Lansing)

2007: MSU 48, Purdue 31 (@West Lafayette)

Not much to argue either side, really, as Wisconsin was bad in 2007 and the other 3 games aren't particularly impressive. Yet they have been 4-0.

Don't know who will win the game, but with all that air time to fill up, there's going to have to be a discussion of some of MSU's dirty play against Michigan.  More fans outside the region will be tuning in to this game.  And if Gholston is banned for this game (as he should be, for at least one game, probably three games would be more appropriate), they'll have to mention it even more.

A game with championship implications between two hard-working, physical teams. Dantonio's an honest, devout man who instills discipline and good values in his players, etc.

I suspect they'd rather avoid the issue altogether if they can, but you're right, if Gholston's suspended they'll have no choice but to address it. It'll probably be spun as a one-off (well, ok, two-off) out-of-control moment of passion, though, and not something team-wide and systematic.

Hope I'm wrong.

So if MSU ends up 9-3 with losses to Nebraska and Wisconsin, and we were to win out (hypothetical), does that mean they still go to the Big10 Championship because of the equal records in the Legends and the head to head?

the good thing is we get to watch them get beat to a pulp by Wisconsin.  We have two weeks to regroup, and we play a horrible Purdue team.  We have the number one recruiting class next year.  I can't wait for the next few years when we are 12-0 with the new recruits and MSU is sitting at 5-7.

I'm looking forward to the Gameday crew discussing Gholston's suspension. Does anyone know when during the week they are typically issued if the B1G is forced to do it, because at this point I doubt sparty will take action?

This game will  just be a scrimmage for Wisconsin. Not sure what ESPN is seeing as being a big deal here. The only people left watching the game after the 1st quarter will be Michigan and Wisconsin fans. The only doubt about this game is whether Bielema decides to run up the score.
