Yep. Because those conservative students don't deserve to hear Snyder speak.

Nevermind that liberals have had their way in the classroom for four years, how dare a successful man speak who politically disagrees with those students.

It's sad to see partisanship taken this far. Grow up, if you can't listen respectfully to someone from the other side clearly you learned absolutely nothing in college.

Students were pissed about Snyder because he had just announced huge cuts to um funding, didn't follow through on the Michigan promise money. The students were pissed because for some reason education is always the first to get cut despite being a key part of society. You don't invite a man to come talk weeks after his actions hurt your school

Important message for Mgoblog users, don't neg this just because you don't want the concert, that is what comments are for. this user brought relevant, and potentially meaningful information to mgoblog. that isn't the area to downvote it just because you don't want the concert,

Why would Brandon split the profits with rock/rap whatever bands. Is the stadium going to be less full without them? Isn't it already going to be on TV. What does having a band play get you monetarily to offset the monumental cost and headaches of production?

Not everything that's potentially positive about something like this is measurable. If people love the show, and it's memorable, etc. how much does that count for? Not saying it's worth it for this in particular, but I mean there'd be no reason to ever go above the normal call if the logic is, "we'd sell out anyway".

but the students who are petitioning for this are idiots. As much as I love rap and think these two are at or near the top of the game, that is not what The Game is about and never should be. No rapper, rock band, group or anything besides the marching bands should grace halftime. It is called The Game for a reason and NO GIMMICKS ARE NEEDED.
I tried to teach ni**as how to be kings
And all they ever wanted to be was soldiers
So the love is gone, Til blood is drawn
So we no longer wear the same uniform
Fu*k you squares, The circle got smaller
The castle got bigger, The walls got taller
And truth be told after all that said
Ni**as still got love for you

I don't know who either of these artists are. Does this officially put me in the "old man" category? Do I need to start yelling at youngsters to "Get off my lawn!"?
