What's the word on class size for 2013 if we do sign 28 this year? I count 25 RS juniors and 5 true juniors, but I don't know how many of them are scholarship athletes. Obviously I don't want to be speculating about transfers or non-renewed fifth years, but will we have anything like a full class in 2013?

Based on the "Depth Chart by Class" chart on this here site, I count 15 guys who will be scholarship Seniors next year (and still be on the team). I looked at the guys who will be RS Juniors in 2012 and guess that as many as 3 might not be brought back for a 5th year in 2013. That would mean UM should have 15-18 scholarships available for the 2013 class without any transfers. It will be a much smaller class than the 2012 class.

Right now, it projects to be a smaller (~20 players) class, but it's really early to speculate, especially in the first year of a new regime—even in an Era of Good Feelings, there are bound to be players who have had their roles change and are now flight risks, both for this year and next year. Add in the fact that there could very well be players surpassed by some of the blue-chip guys in the 2012 class who will not be happy with their new roles, and I don't really think trying to pin a number on the 2013 class will be very useful right now.

I continue to be amazed that ND brings in consistent top-15 classes despite having a string of feminine hygiene products for coaches and no recent history of success (save for beating a horrible Miami team in a bowl game).

Still, liking the class so far, though hopefully they had a nice WR or RB (Dunn anyone?  After the tire-fire we saw against MSU, I can't imagine he's happy about the state of OSU's line) will be added in a couple of weeks.

but we won our most recent match-up with 2 of the 3 you listed on there. And if you're implying that Michigan isn't a power program, then it's kinda hard for Notre Dame to be one themselves seeing as they can't beat Michigan.

Finally, just because I feel like it...Navy, Air Force, Tulsa, South Florida all have what it common?

I think he was eluding to the Irish being ranked every single every year, having their own network, and sucking terribly as far as one can remember. I am not here to tell you the team I root for is any better, but I don't rub it in your face every year. Please let go, because it's over. Enjoy the big East.

you need to revisit yours.  nd is overrated in the polls 9 out of every 10 years (yep 90% of the time).  Your current coach is guilty of unintentional manslaughter, and then turned the blind eye on Floyd (who didn't need a senior season to go pro) so he could win games.  He has no class and will ultimately be fired for lack of ethics and oh yeah ... losing.  Remember when it was "Catholics vs. Convicts" back in day ... now nd has becaome "Catholic Convicts"

Go Blue!

If the reports are true that we can back date thee to four signees, I really hope we can get to 28. We could truly have a tremendous class of tough recruits.
