Holy shit I just typed a long response then accidentally clicked refresh. Anyway, I was just defending this guy because (at least on my computer) the blue link color and the black text color look very similar unless you hover over it. Sometimes it helps to avoid ambiguity by using the word "link" as the link instead of including/hiding it in the sentence. Even if it is more concise, the link color sometimes causes confusion.

Read the article, and you will find out.
Great article about a great story. Those involved, who I know personally, worked their tails off for this to come to fruition. Good to see it getting some press.
Good find, OP.

Whenever I see someone bust someone's chops in such an inaccurate and ignorant manner, it makes me wish there were a few "more informative" catagories in post moderation. For example: "being a fuckhead to the OP for no reason."
Thanks to the OP for a great link, a fun read, and a post that had a perfect amount of information.

Gannes sounds like a very committed and well-meaning person, but if anything, I think this story demonstrates the yawning gap between good intentions and effective results in development work. It does sound like some small bit of good may have come in the end, though, and hopefully this experience will be helpful to Gannes in future work.

She's gritty - no question. Sounds like a high motor type too...
