FWIW: EMU Ticket Prices Bottomed Out
For those who were looking for a good excuse to go to the EMU game:
StubHub prices are now as low as $15 with sideline tickets as low as the $40s. I know it's a bodybag team and a lot of people are short on cash due to the ND game but I thought it worth bringing to light in case some weren't aware of how affordable this could be and have wanted to bring their kid, etc.

Can't beat the price I'm going for.....
September 16th, 2011 at 8:27 PM ^
Come on, if you're in MI, no excuse not to go to the game now.
September 16th, 2011 at 8:28 PM ^
I'm surprised the seats ever get that low. There are always the people who don't get to go to many games who would still like to see Michigan play EMU. For that price you'd think more Eastern students would go.
I agree that this is the perfect game to take your 6 year old kid to. Cheap tickets, he won't know the difference and he'll get to see a win.

Agreed. That's how I got to go to games growing up--so I remember beating Wisconsin by a gazillion points (way back in the day, yeah), and watching cheerleaders do so many backflips off the wall they were getting dizzy, and hearing the roar of Go! Blue! and singing The Victors and cheering until I lost my voice.
I never recovered, hope I never do.

I took my sister to the toledo game under that logic....oops.

I invited my buddy, his fiancee, and his 7 year old son to the game since I had some extra tickets. Apparently the kid is going nuts over the idea of seeing his first Michigan game. I am glad to be able to bring him into the fold (my friend isn't a big Michigan fan but his fiancee is and I am trying to get the kid started off right).

Speaking of tix. I have two endzone seats 42 rows up (section 13) that I'm not going to be able to use. My mother is sick and had an episode tonight and it's going to keep me from going to the game.
My mom lives out in the Swanton / Wauseon / Delta area about 30-40 mins west of Toledo. I don't really mind what I get for them. Face is $70 but damn, if you can get 'em for that low on StubHub... if you want 'em you can bring me a nice large cup of bean juice from McDonald's or something and we'll call it even.
Holler if at all interested and you live out this way....

Thanks guys. Yea not to get too into it, but she's doing the in-home hospice deal now. Ovarian cancer got the best of her. Gotta do what you gotta do though, don't want those regrets later in life. A2 isn't goin' anywhere! I'm looking foward to catching the whole deal on BTN and that 3:30 game too.
September 16th, 2011 at 8:56 PM ^
If you can make it out this way or already live west of Toledo - tickets are yours... If interested, let me know - directions will follow.

I just google mapped Morenci to Neapolis, OH. It's gonna be 30-35 miles pending your Morenci location.
I'd be happy to do that for you - nothing like a father-son day in the big house.
I could drive a short way to meet you if it works out timing wise (mom needs someone here at all times, so I probably can't leave the house unless a nurse shows up, which they do here and there) - - otherwise, I can give you the address here.... let me know how you feel bout that drive and what time you'd be by to pick them up..

I'll drop you a text. I'd recommend early morning if it makes no difference to you. It's extremely dark out this way in the country...you'll have an easier time in the AM.

I've been fortunate and been to several games with my dad. I look forward to the tailgate with him just as much as the game itself... so, glad I could help a brother out. Every dude deserves the experience with his pops.
Thanks, too. I've kind of learned it's just part of life. We all go at some point and she's suffered waaaay too long. Too many surgeries, chemo, surgeries, more chemo, etc. Worst part is she's only 53 and my little bro is 15... so i feel bad for my bro.
But hey, enough on all that. Appreciate all you great M fans. Go Blue.

for putting family on your back tho

There are a lot factors that are causing this. Having an 8 game home schedule is one of them. For a person like me, from Chicago, it's not plausible to make it to AA for 8 games especially since I plan on going to Illinois and northwestern. Unfortunately there are one or two that I can't go to because its starts to take a toll, physically, financially and socially.

buddy to go down for his bachelor party. He's taking a dozen tickets off me at face. I kinda feel bad. Especially since him doing this allowed me to buy a 4 pack to ND OSU and NEB.
September 17th, 2011 at 8:44 AM ^
I paid a friend face value for SDSU tickets, which I also expect to go cheaply, but I also picked up Nebraska tickets at face value as well. To me, that's a win/win.

Got 4 tickets on the 35 yard line for $101 including S&H.

I didn't get season tickets this year (I have a good hookup when I need one anyway) so playing the stubhub game has been by route. I had planned on getting tix and bringing Misopogal but then she got leveled with schoolwork and was maybe'ing me until tonight.
I'm getting up tomorrow and driving to Ann Arbor anyway and finding a ticket on campus.
September 16th, 2011 at 9:49 PM ^
MAC games anyways. When I went to the Eastern game in 2009, me and my cousin picked up tickets for 20 each while we were walking to the stadium from the golf course. Heck, you can probably get 15, but 20 should be the max.
September 16th, 2011 at 10:31 PM ^
Realistically you shouldnt have to pay more than $15-20 for a ticket. The closer it gets to game time the lower the price. When Delaware St came to town I scored 4 tickets for $10 total and have totten tickets for around $10/ea for numerous CMU/EMU games. I was lucky enough to get my company to buy my tickets for tomorrow's game at face and give to a client. If you are looking to sell tickets and get any offers over $30/each I would jump on it. If you or someone you know have never been to the Big House, tomorrow would be a great opportunity to catch a game.

I'm just hoping for an easy game that won't give me a heart attack. Last Saturday was so sick.

does 1.5 year old baby need a ticket?
September 16th, 2011 at 11:23 PM ^
Generally any person, regardless of age, must have a ticket. Or something like that...

I got $70 for my pair. The University gotta lower the price on these games. $70 a ticket for a mac team or worse is ridiculous imo.
September 17th, 2011 at 8:18 AM ^
To just give the tickets away to someone who generally doesn't go to the games.

At $15 for the same seats my dad and I had at the nd game in the corner it would cost about 1/10th what it cost to go to last weeks game. That's crazy
