The Case of the Missing Shoelace.

Submitted by Firstbase on

I find the media's lack of attention to Denard's "shoelace" story this year curious. Not long ago it was a huge angle. Given the fact that we're so litigous these days, is there is a potential shoelace liability issue that both the university and the media are trying to avoid?

Or... and I must admit I didn't notice... is Denard tying his laces or are his shoes possibly velcro only now?

Why would he do that??? It seemed like it worked well for DR last year, I think only on that one run did he ever encounter a problem (his shoe fell off). I don't see why Borges should involve himself in player's clothing, unless it will REALLY have influence on the game.

What is this, the WWE?  Do we need storylines and angles?  If so, Hoke is clearly a face and Rich Rod was definitley a heel.  But anyway, who cares that they aren't paying attention to it.  I think it's great that we are flying under the radar...or at least we were until Saturday.

I was just curious. Just wondered if anyone else wondered about it. No big deal. Not trying to resurrect it as a national storyline. I just happened to think that even as a nickname, "Shoelace" seems conspicous by its absence.

I could picture some kid tripping over his untied laces and his disgruntled parent wanting the university to pay to fix the kid's teeth.

That's all.

all we heard about one year was Tebow's mission work - wasn't brought up the next

Ingram and his dad in jail wasn't reintroduced his junior year, etc.

i see absolutely zero reason it would be reintroduced. where's the post about brock news items on the decline?

May be unrelated, but I heard that Brian Kelly tried to strangle himself with Gary Gray's shoelaces early Sunday morning.

That might explain the purpleface.  No, I guess it wouldn't.
