Shane Morris cryptic tweet
So Shane Morris recently tweeted something interesting:
Just heard the best news of the dayyy... #impatient
http://twitter.com/#!/S_Morris12
ScoutExile on the blue board also posted saying:
Wait until the interview comes out! I'll post it here.

Sounds like a possible commit. Guess we will have to wait and see. Based on Shane's tweet I am guessing a WR but who knows. Speculate away as to who it could be.

Maybe he just found out about Dymonte
September 11th, 2011 at 7:03 PM ^
They were at the game together though, so I doubt he would have just heard about Dymonte.

Morris is a QB, so it would seem reasonable to think that he would be most excited over commitments from either a wide receiver (Jordan Payton) or an offensive lineman (Zach Banner)...or both.
September 11th, 2011 at 7:57 PM ^
Agreed. Jordan Payton put something on Facebook last night like, "What do y'all think of Michigan." after Shane Morris, Terry Richardson and many MGoFans responded, Jordan followed up with a comment, "Michigan Man."

THIS.
September 11th, 2011 at 8:45 PM ^
Can anyone confirm this? I'm checking other recruits facebooks now to see I lf they have any information, I'll keep you updated

Caption under his pic says:
"Payton said he had the experience of a lifetime on Saturday night at the Big House."
When a top 20 WR who has previously narrowed his list to Cal and Michigan makes a statement like that, I would assume there might be some good news coming.
#12WR Scout, #18WR Rivals, #25WR ESPN, #23WR 247 and 4-star to all.
He would be a welcome addition. Go Blue!
September 11th, 2011 at 7:03 PM ^
I know what Morris is talking about. I can't tell you, but it involves a paper clip, Michigan Stadium, kosher hot dogs, and Fed chief Ben Bernanke.
Just wait. You'll see.
September 11th, 2011 at 7:05 PM ^
McGuyver I knew it.
September 11th, 2011 at 7:06 PM ^
hot dog man is back?
September 11th, 2011 at 7:08 PM ^
Don't play with my heart like that.
September 11th, 2011 at 9:18 PM ^
we had an old hot dog man in section 35, row 60ish. he brought back about 20 dogs at halftime. he didn't have a lot of range, but the accuracy was dead on.

September 11th, 2011 at 7:06 PM ^
I know he showed that, but with the Shane Morris tweet as well I am hoping something actually comes out of it.
September 11th, 2011 at 7:06 PM ^
If he says he has an interview, he does.
September 11th, 2011 at 7:13 PM ^
Eh, cut him some slack. He made a rookie mistake; he didn't confirm with the source before breaking a story. He'll get better. Of course, I'm assuming he wasn't lying about Godin saying "O'Brien went blue!"
September 12th, 2011 at 12:42 AM ^
Well, if I had reported that O'Brien committed, I'd say "fair enough." Except that isn't what happened...
...I texted a friend three texts after the game: "Dymonte committed-- high-fiving fans and telling them", "O'Brien is blue", "-Matt Godin at the tunnel" (I have an iPhone, and sending another text is my lazy way of creating a new line). As many loyal fans know, cell reception is sporadic in the stadium, and the last text ("-Matt Godin at the tunnel") failed. My friend got the text, and assumed I meant he (O'Brien) committed.
It was a... (cue the Zeppelin)... communication breakdown, and it drives me insane.
I may be new at this, but there's a big difference between a kid telling fans he committed after a game (Dymonte) and a kid's best friend (Godin) saying he (O'Brien) committed. Dymonte wants people to know. If he's committed or planning on committing, Danny didn't yet. If you want to see my M.O., look at the interview that you're all calling "tame," (which, again, I did nothing to hype up). If you're not familiar with my writing style, then I suppose it will seem tame.
Even if I did know something, I wouldn't be sharing it. I enjoy writing for my readers on 247sports. I appreciate the publicity, but if I had the ambition to expand my readership to include mgoblog, then I would have applied for the mgoblog job. I have full faith that Ace will do a fine job for you guys, and I'd rather not step on his toes. If you still want to (quietly) read my interviews and articles, you're free to do so, but Ace will do a good job here.
By the way, you should all watch this (it's early, but East Paulding's Kamani Thomas seems to really like Michigan):
Looks a bit like Barry Sanders, doesn't he? This isn't a resuly of poor competition either. East Paulding is class AAAA football (in Georgia).

TomVH once told us to "buckle up" without anything happening. It happens sometimes. Whatever. If people can't get over it, then don't worry about them.

The cute girl sitting next to him in math class agreed to go out with him on Monday night. BKfinest it.
September 11th, 2011 at 7:10 PM ^
Not that cute. Stubby legs.
September 11th, 2011 at 7:13 PM ^
If All Aboard is right (and I'm assuming he is) "she" also has a bit of a facial hair problem and really doesn't dress very sexy.
September 11th, 2011 at 8:38 PM ^
How's her pad level?
September 11th, 2011 at 8:47 PM ^
Gross.
September 11th, 2011 at 8:55 PM ^
LOL. Wrong on so many levels

I don't know about dashing - how fast is he?
September 11th, 2011 at 7:09 PM ^
Wyatt Shallman is my guess. Go Blue!
September 11th, 2011 at 9:52 PM ^
Nope, I'm 100% it's Jordan Payton after making some quick texts. Called it here first Ace. The guy everyone can trust.

Hey, I have a guess- it is something in his life entirely unrelated to football or his recruitment. I know, when I was in high school that is the only thing I thought about- not girls, school or anything like that. But bear with me, I am going out on a limb here. /sarc
Being recruited is not actually his profession, I am sure there is tons of other things going on in his life that he could be excited about.
September 11th, 2011 at 7:11 PM ^
The scout thread cites scoutexile, the same person who reported Danny Obrien commited last night. This could just be another false alarm.
September 11th, 2011 at 7:40 PM ^
Happy to hear any potential good news, but I don't like reading the word "cryptic" when I read about guys who have already committed.
September 11th, 2011 at 7:45 PM ^
But maybe it has nothing to do with football and just has to do with his perosnal life.
September 11th, 2011 at 8:31 PM ^
Dude, football players don't have a "personal life." Don't you know anything?
September 11th, 2011 at 7:51 PM ^
His company is going public!
September 11th, 2011 at 8:45 PM ^
I am guessing his Facebook status said something like, "Uncle Jack, what the hell?"
September 11th, 2011 at 7:53 PM ^
Maybe Shane finally convinced the Christian Brothers to open up enrollment to the females so he can get his game on before heading to college.
Godspeed Shane, godspeed.
September 11th, 2011 at 7:55 PM ^
Does anyone know if Dwayne Stanford was at the game? I was in the section with a bunch of recruits down low, and when they were leaving (after all the songs and stuff, maybe 20 minutes after the actual game ended) I could have sworn another recruit say "We just might have to be Wolverines, Dwayne." I honestly have no idea, may have been wishful thinking, but take it FWIW, which could easily be nothing.
September 11th, 2011 at 8:03 PM ^
No no, it was Kevin Arnold talking to Wayne.
September 11th, 2011 at 8:37 PM ^
I thought it was Dwayne Wayne from A Different World.
September 11th, 2011 at 10:03 PM ^
No it was the robot from A Small Wonder. They really, really want a statue qb back there.
September 11th, 2011 at 8:02 PM ^
its TACO CHARLTON.
September 11th, 2011 at 8:05 PM ^
is on BTN! Watching it again minus the emotional rollercoasters.
September 11th, 2011 at 8:13 PM ^
The interview isn't with Shane.
September 11th, 2011 at 8:17 PM ^
Sounds like it might not be a commit, but might be a big gain in terms of moving up someone's list.
September 11th, 2011 at 8:49 PM ^
The fact that its an interview would back this up. Recruits almost never commit via interview, but often announce a new leader.
