Re:  Denard . . . "Irish safeties coach Chuck Martin joked that the game-planning this week began with prayers at the Grotto."

Awesome.

I played on a rec league softball team with Coach Martin a few years back when he was head coach of GVSU. He is a pretty solid guy. That is totally his sense of humor, although I'm sure he was only half kidding. Not many coordinators can stop a playmaker like #16 with pure scheme, they have to hope for a little good fortune as well. Let's hope our Protestant prayers made it up there first. Go Blue Fergodsakes!

Best quote: "It's kind of like playing Navy, ... do the best you can and let the chips fall where they may."

2010: Navy 35, Notre Dame 17.

Let's hope it's just like playing Navy.

I hope the ND Nation board doesn't see that quote.  Actually hope that ND-UM rivalry never ends.  My first week on campus featured a party at Beta house front yard, where several ND fans were present.  They are great people and the rivalry is great for college football.

Michigan fans:  "polite and knowledgeable with a side of undeserved entitlement."

Except for the "undeserved," of course.

For the last few years, Domer friends and I have exchanged condolences for horrible seasons.  I'm hoping to resume offering smug and insincere "condolences" soon, though I admit to some nervousness about this game.

Once upon a time, they had Rocket Ismail.  Now, Michigan has someone who is just as dangerous and touches the ball every play on offense.  Gotta love it...

scorching their d has them restless I'm sure tonight.

I hope Denard plays more in the shotgun tommorow night...last year 502 total yard performance was simply amazing.

I think Denard will play an outstanding game, but the major difference from last year's game will be our rejuvenated defense holding ND below 20 points.
