Meta: Software testers needed (for nifty UFR viewer)

Submitted by WolverineBlue on

Surely, this topic should be marked "OT", no? No, Shirley, because the software to be tested is something near and dear to the hearts of many MGoBlog readers.

I have developed a prototype of an applet to view the MGoBlog UFR reports in a richer, more interactive format. It lets you step through the UFR a play at a time or filter out a play list based on a broad range of search criteria. For example, you can look at only those plays where Robinson ran for more than 5 yards on third down. Whatever play you are currently viewing, one click brings you right to the video clip of the start of the play.

With Brian's permission, I am going to start preliminary testing of the app and need a few volunteers to provide feedback and report any bugs. If you are interested in participating, you need to send an email to [email protected] . If you want, you can say a few words about yourself and whether you have any prior testing experience (not required). I also need to know what computer system you are running (OS) and what browser(s) you typically use. Mention your MGoBlog identity.

I also need some help with creating video cue links for UFRs past, present, and future. These are assigned in an editor and it takes about an hour to mark the cues for a particular game (you get to watch Michigan fooltball the whole time!)

Finally, if someone out there has some actual graphics design skills, I could use some help creating the final look and feel of the finished applet. All responses should be directed at the aforementioned email alias, [email protected] . I may answer questions within this thread, but will not accept volunteers who don't send the E-mail.

EDIT: I deliberately posted this with a vague title to throttle the response rate. That appears to have been unnecessary, so I have changed it to something less devious.

I'm gonna send you an email but I can't do it right this second. I've got extensive experience in creating apps, software development etc.......I'lldo it as soon as I get home.

And ftr I know I'm a pain in the ass on this board, but I'll do what I can to help make it better.

If you are interested in software development and know to code then you can easily find yourself a well-payed job in a company or start your own business. And would be even more profitable. If you know how to create your own app then you can earn a lot of money with it. Here is an article about this topic where you can learn how to create a trucking services app. Make sure to read it if interested.
