College Football Night Two - Open Thread

Submitted by jcgold on

On TV Tonight:

Youngstown St. at little brother - 7:30 - BTN

TCU at Baylor - 8:00 - ESPN

Hopefully tonight's matchups are more like Wake-Cuse and less like Wisconsin-UNLV.

For all the shit talking despite only being up 1 on YOUNGSTOWN STATE.

I hope Hoke continues the tradition of Michigan players playing with class.

TCU looks lost right now out there.  I knew the Ginger Dalton was a big part of their team's success, but I never thought a team like Baylor would be outplaying them so thoroughly.  I mean, if they didn't get those massive kick returns, they wouldn't even be in this game.

Hope Sparty now realizes how much Gordon/Jones really meant to that D....amazing what happens when 2 4 yr starters leave.

The amount of Bullough crap I heard this year was laughable. As much as I thought Jones was a tad bit overrated he was still a very solid player.

Missed FG there; that and a few better-thown passes and they'd really be right in this one.  That guy was open on 3rd down and the guy threw a duck.

Baylor up 5 against TCU, and probably should be up even more.

MSU looks pretty overrated right now, at least compared to the hype we heard over the summer.  They look like a good offense with a mediocre defense - 8-4 type season.  I'm sure they'll surprise people, but I'm not sold on them beating OSU this year, which was not the case when I looked at the schedule to start the summer.

Bullough isn't the problem.  He's been alright.  Adams looks to have been their best player in the first half.  Defensive ends are not doing much.  They're not disciplined and getting little pressure.  Outside linebackers aren't playing well either.  Norman had one good play and several poor ones.  Robinson also hasn't had a good half.  It's hard for me to judge the DTs as most of YSU's good plays have been away.

Notwithstanding my fear of being redundant [tag!] (I posted this in another thread above), I'll note that I wish I had the time and inclination to upvote you all.  I hope this post will suffice.
