OT: (As On topic as an OT gets) Streaming Sports sites mostly down - who is left?

Submitted by Serth on

Being in Europe, I can't watch the games unless I shell out some non existant money I need for things like food, and winter clothes for the upcoming Danish Autumn.

What streaming sites remain since myp2pforum and atdhe are both down for good?

ESPN360 seems expensive as hell (the price of a danish beer).

Living on the Pacific....lost my Direct TV and Big Ten Network because my new home faces north and the dish needs to face southwest.    I refuse to pay for Time Warner Cable, which has a monopoly on my city....and is the worst company ever to deal with...

So lately...ive watch streaming sports on atdhe.tv.....after the govt shut down the .com version and its been ok, seen the Lions games and MNF.......and im catching my favorite tv shows (Breaking Bad) on tv duck and I pay $ for Netflix streaming for movies.   I hope that the Michigan games will be streamed somewhere...perhaps athde will have them.

The future of TV is streaming online.

I live in China and us a US proxy to get on Facebook, YouTube, etc, but US proxies only work occasionally for ESPN3 if the IP address you get happens to be one that uses an internet provider that offers ESPN3 (they give you a different IP each time you connect). In my experience it works roughly half the time.

£18 a month shouldn't be a problem for a Michigan grad (and I assume you are one if you're a Michigan fan and live in Denmark). When you're at the bar, ready to order that 11th beer on Friday night, tell yourself that you'll forego this one and spend it on ESPNPlayer instead.

It's worth it for the extra quality and to avoid the stress of getting kicked off the free streams at inopportune times.

I live in East Europe and have only recently begun to get paid for what I do.  So free live-streams are still the ideal option for me.

And I understand your priorities with regards to beer (and how expensive it can be):  I hope that, if/when I return to the states, I'll never have a problem finding good European beer or a legitimate substitute.  I've had so much of the good stuff here that I don't think I'll ever go back to the disappointing Amercan mass-produced stuff.

I live in Spain and ESPN player is only 20 euros a month which is quite reasonable for high quality streaming.  Not only do you get all of the important UM games (no BTN) but a great selection of the best games from around the country - and they keep them on archive to watch when you want.  Sounds like a pretty good deal for a whole month a the price of a few Danish beers.

Thanks to all for the other links as the BTN games are not on espn.

and am wondering what kind of coverage you get with  ESPN college game pass.  For example would I be able to get the Michigan-Notre Dame game next week that is on ESPN.  Is big ten network online streaming available in Canada?  I'm assuming in Canada ESPN college game pass will not have any Michigan games that the big ten network broadcasts.  Is this correct?

Thanks

and I have not been able to get the BTN to stream online. For whatever reason it doesn't seem to be available in Canada.

As for the game pass, I am not sure. I get the Bell expressvu college sports package which is far from ideal, but between it and online streaming I got to see all the games last year. I only had to watch 2 or 3 online.

with the Super Sports Pack (NCAA Football and Basketball). The BTN is also available to order as a separate channel. In the past they've given it to me for free which I ordered the Super Sports Pack.

The only frustrating things are that (1) Rogers is an evil media-providing conglomerate and (2) it is difficult to figure out in advance which games will be on the Super Sports Pack. But with one or two exceptions (Delaware St, I think) I've been able to watch all the Michigan games.

http://www.freedocast.com will have the game with a title like: "loiweaflweifslkffff"

So you can't search for it, but if you got to the main page around game time they will show thumbnails of "live" streams and you'll have to pick the michigan game out of the screen shots (not too difficult).  ESPN3 looks like crap on my dsl connection before thinking it can display HD, and then freezing and going back to crap.  So freedocast was the only way I could find anything last night.

Those feeds are extremely hard to shut down because they are almost impossible to find without already having the link, so it's well worth taking the few moments it takes to hunt for it at first.
