Hoke Press Conference - TW and JT starting at corner?
Hoke press conference: http://www.mgoblue.com/
Did I hear correctly that TW and JT will be the starting corners?
Edit: Added the word starting. Listened again and he mentioned Courtney right after JT so I probably shouldn't speculate but I did read something on TOS that leads me in this direction.
Edit#2: TOS has link above for the douchy douches.

Offical two deep was posted this morning, looked as if it was TW was a lock at CB#1 and it was still a toss up between Avery and JT at CB#2

The two-deep had Floyd OR Avery as the starter and Hoke said in his presser he expected Floyd to be the starter on Sat.

interesting, id rather have avery starting, unless JT made some major improvements. He seemed to get worse as the season went on.

I'll trust the opinions of the folks who have been observing these guys in practice for the past month.

I was pulling for Avery!

I'm still not terribly upbeat about either of them. Hopefully we won't constantly give 10-yard cushions...[shudder]

Yeah, the soft zone has irritated me since the days of Jim Hermann. In this case, however, I think they would be totally justified in doing so because of the relative weakness of the secondary. Anything to limit the big plays.

So we get picked apart 10-20 yds at a time and die a slow death? I hate that mentality. I'd much rather be aggressive and maybe we'd also end up with an INT or two.

We tried that last year. At least give the corners more responsibility and at least an outside chance at making plays.

given it was Avery's first time playing corner and he was a true freshman I thought he got better as the year went on. You cant expect to be up in WR's faces on every single play.
Personally while Floyd has a little more size I like the speed Avery brought I think he should be entrenched as the starter by the time big 10 season rolls around.
Also, Countess right behind TW already is a great thing to see. Hopefully he becomes that great corner we haven't seen in a long long time.

When you write TOS on this board, what exactly are you talking about?
August 29th, 2011 at 3:29 PM ^
My link did not work on the post. I'll fix.
August 29th, 2011 at 3:39 PM ^
but what acronym is TOS referring to?
August 29th, 2011 at 3:49 PM ^
(T)the/this (O)other (S)site. click on TOS above as I don't feel like linking three times.

TOS on Rivals boards means Scout, on Scout it means Rivals. I've no idea what it means here.
August 29th, 2011 at 7:01 PM ^
By your definition, TOS could mean Bleacher Report for fuck's sake. Would it really have been so hard to write Rivals, Scout, MLive, or boytaur.com? Whichever goofy ass site you're trying to link to. TOS does not imply anything around here.

Brady also said Fitz could also start over Shaw. I hope all this competition at these spots is a good thing!!!
