TomVH: OL Jordan Diamond is Visiting

Submitted by TomVH on

I tweeted on July 29th that Jordan Diamond might swing back to Ann Arbor after his trip to a few southern schools. It looks like he's there right now, according to his mother who is also with him.

They're mainly there to check on Chris Bryant, Diamond's former teammate. Never hurts to be on campus though.

Mrs. Diamond was taking Jordan's teammates around with Jordan to different schools and they recently stopped by Eastern for his teammates. It's right next door so they probably stopped by to say hi to Chris.

There's nothing wrong with Bryant, he's just good friends with the Diamond family.

...well, always good to have him here.  Man, this is the #1 kid I wanted in this class from a year ago...hope he commits sooner rather than later.

... it's quite the detour to go to Ann Arbor on your way to Illinois back from Dixie.

717 miles from Tuscaloosa, Alabama (not sure where he was coming from, but I just like saying Tuscaloosa)  to Chicago.

1013 miles if you add in Ann Arbor.  That's roughly 300 extra miles.

Promising.

why put this up at all?  I know I am not as good at reading the TomVH hidden messages as others but this seems to be nothing more that they are passing through and they stopped to support a family friend.  Certainly a nice thing to do but then you say, I am sure accurately, that it means nothing regarding the decision-making process for Diamond.

seems to me that all those other schools down south were just vacations for Diamond and Ann Arbor is more like home. Gotta love it when a kid's visits start to sound more like "Hey, just stoppin by again, whats up?" ...I think this one is just a matter of time.

When I think about how the spartan fans are almost guaranteeing a commitment from diamond, I guess in the twisted spartan logic kalis to michigan equals diamond to MSU.

Not to defend Sparty, but the only thing even remotely close to that on tRCMB is that Diamond might be open to other B1G options now, but Wisconsin was the clear #2. I don't think I even saw much of them readily assuming they'd have Diamond since we got Kalis, just inquiring what their chances were.

OSU fans truly believe they have a chance with him too...not even sure he has visited them.  I believe so, but definitely not as many times as he has been to AA.

I was recently in Chicago at the Lincoln Park Zoo and noticed a large man with a 58 Michigan t-shirt walking into a hall as I was walking out when I realized it was Chris I wanted to say something but didn't out of respect. If Jordan is as close to Chris as it seems I can only imagine this is a good sign for UM. Or maybe I have had too much bourbon.
