Why would Beyer have questions about the SAM linebacker position? Is there something we don't know?

It's crazy to think Doug Karsch graduated from MSU and now has a job as a sideline reporter for Michigan.  And his other job comes from a Sparty Slappy Radio Station.

He couldn't get into U-M, so his choice was to go to his other fav school (Maryland I believe), and pay out of state, or go to MSU and pocket the money (which he used for a trip or something).  He never really rooted for the Spartans, and actually got his big break in radio here on WTKA in the afternoons, before they offered him more $$$ (and frankly, job security considering all the changes 1050 has gone through over the years) to go to the station that will not be named.

What he says about McColgan...bringing it...is very telling for those that call it manball.

and for those that call it... football and pound the rock... we like our fullbacks

One really big advantage for Hoke that has not really come up is the fact that the penalty on practice time was complete in the spring.  I mean I love hearing about the focus on technique and the seniors mention how much Hoke has asked them to do to bring the team together.  I love that becuase I think the effort in the summer voluntary workouts and the restoration of competitive practice time is going to be a huge advantage for this season over the last season.  Sure the usual coach speak is going on from the coaches, but I just can't believe 22 year olds would have learned how to be full of crap when speaking abou themselves and about the team they have taking the responsibility of leading.

I know that they are following the same format of interviewing a different player this year, but the fact that they have only interviewed Seniors so far is telling.  Very telling.

So between Evans, Herron, and Jones who do we think wins the starting WILL LB position?

Or am I missing someone else?

Also, moving Herron from MIKE to WILL in fall camp seems to be an indicator that the coaches feel pretty good with Demens in the middle right? I know we are all pretty confident in him as well, but its good to get that sign from the coaches.
