I'm liking the bald look. I wouldnt wish it upon denard though.
August 10th, 2011 at 7:48 AM ^
Hopefully Denard doesn't catch the shaved head fever.
August 10th, 2011 at 9:44 AM ^
Nothing wrong with Bald.

Loving the awkwardness of whoever walks into the background then jumps away once he realizes he's on camera
August 10th, 2011 at 9:25 AM ^
That looked like a 12 year old version of Craig Roh that walked into the background.

Yes, he did.

Creeps me out a little or not.
August 10th, 2011 at 11:35 AM ^
The avatar looks to me like it's from Fritz Lang's "M," which is kind of creepy in a particular way that many German Expressionist films are.
August 10th, 2011 at 1:14 PM ^
Don't worry. M stands for Michigan rather than serial child murderer in this case.
August 10th, 2011 at 8:08 AM ^
My guess is that it was something for the corporate office.

This is what embodies being a student athlete. He takes a job like any other kid during the summer. He is doing what he has to do. He is not selling autographs for tats or anything else. I like the work ethic.
August 10th, 2011 at 11:40 AM ^
It's a management trainee program so I'm sure there are some corporate responsibilities in addition to overseeing the actual store. It's not like he's a greeter or a stockboy, not that there would be anything wrong with that either. If he does decide to stick with the company, then whether he goes the corporate or store management route, his time spent on the floor managing workers, doing inventory analysis, etc. will be invaluable.
August 10th, 2011 at 3:08 PM ^
IIRC he also had to turn in a location specific, mid to long range project for the store to consider completing. It was definitely management, but I think it was more "on the ground" type work than being an accountant or marketing expert in Arkansas.

I have a friend that is a store manager for Target in North Carolina that pays him a $120,000 a year...yup!

1. I think it would have been hilarious if Grady had said Denard was thinking about the bald look just to mess with everyone.
2. Considering what his famiily has gone through, albiet self-inflicted, I hope Kelvin becomes an impact player and a success story after school is over.
3. The guys who don't have quite as much of the combination of size, speed, and talent as the elite guys do, but make the most of it, often make the best coaches.

but has matured in his time at Michigan. I think it was mainly because he was often the best athlete in any sports that he played and everything came easy for him. We used to play together in basketball for a couple years when we were younger. Played against him in AAU ball and had the pleasure(or misfortune) of having to guard him. Too bad that I'm not athletic enough to keep up with him.
It's good to see that he matured and become a team player. He's been humbled by his experiences at Michigan in basketball and football.

How big is Doug Karsch? Or, how little is Kelvin Grady?
August 10th, 2011 at 8:39 AM ^
Jeez Wendy.........
Isn't that kind of a personal question?!?
August 10th, 2011 at 11:12 AM ^
were substituted for "tall" and "short", it needed to be said. Underhand pitches are just asking to be hit out of the park.
August 10th, 2011 at 9:33 PM ^
And you just made me spill my chocolate milk everywhere. Barwis would be pissed. Still can't stop laughing though.
August 10th, 2011 at 8:49 AM ^
I REALLY hope Karsch is like 6-3, 6-4...
August 10th, 2011 at 10:00 AM ^
Loving the Omameh quote as the signature.
August 10th, 2011 at 11:11 AM ^
I remember him as being pretty tall. And they've listed Grady as 5'9", 5'10", so you can probably take an inch or two away off the listed height.
August 10th, 2011 at 11:31 AM ^
is accurate. He's taller than his older brother, Kevin Grady, who is 5'8". He's about 5'9"-5'10".
August 10th, 2011 at 8:29 AM ^
It appears Kelvin is working to appease the manball gods.
August 10th, 2011 at 8:51 AM ^
I love watching Gardner in those videos. His mechanics aren't perfect (a little short-armed?) but the ball sure flies nice.
August 10th, 2011 at 9:04 AM ^
like a very well spoken and humble young man. I'll definitely be rooting for him to get some PT this season
August 10th, 2011 at 9:18 AM ^
It would be funny to see some of the 2012 recruits shave their heads like the Fab Five.

This kid has a great head on his shoulders. I think he'd make a heck of a coach.
August 10th, 2011 at 11:47 AM ^
I always forget about Kelvin when we talk about this team, but whenever he talks I am always reminded that he is a true stand up type of guy.
He has been humbled in his life and looks like he will now lead others down the right path.
Might be the best interview on the team as well.
August 10th, 2011 at 12:13 PM ^
id take a store manager job at Walmart, they make 150k+
August 10th, 2011 at 12:57 PM ^
Karsch needs to join Grady and just shave whatever it is he has going on up there.
August 10th, 2011 at 3:15 PM ^
Pretty obvious now that he's shaved his head! He honed his management skills over the summer with his internship and now he can refine the very same skills on the field. He's a good kid that Michigan can be proud of. Go Blue!!!
August 10th, 2011 at 7:27 PM ^
Doug Karsh is 9'1000''.
August 10th, 2011 at 8:46 PM ^
If Kelvin isn't careful he'll run away with the Brooks Bollinger Memorial Eighth-Year Senior Award.
August 10th, 2011 at 10:53 PM ^
Kelvin: new spin on the term Walmart Wolverine. Seriously though, sounds like he's going to be successful whether he keeps playing football after this or if he doesn't.
August 11th, 2011 at 7:45 PM ^
the shaved head really works for him. Looks damn good.
August 11th, 2011 at 9:37 PM ^
Who is our quickest receiver? Who is our fastest?
I know Stonum was the fastes straight line 100 guy.
