Satellite dish Tailgating Pioneer or AA golf & outing?

Submitted by Helloheisman on

Setting up a tailgate for friends for the MI/ND game along with a Dish Network dish, 42 in tv, and all the good stuff so they can see the game while me and my wife go in and watch... I am wondering where anyone that tailgates with a Satellite dish goes?I prefer the golf course... Am I safe at the golf course with a dish? What do the experts do around here? Thanks!

I have a portable dish that I got last year that I can't get a signal with at AAGOC. Id like o park at the university course next year however. For like 2 hours at the Iowa game and MSU game I tried to get a signal and got nothing. I have been successful at home but it doesn't do me any good here. Is there anyone out there who can help me out. I have a winegard category MP1, using a directv receiver.

Go to the U of M golf course.

Avoid the parking Nazis at the AAGO at all costs and the "no alcohol" policy, though loosely enforced, is a reason to avoid Pioneer.

If you get in early enough at the U of M course, you can pick your spot which is ideal for setting your dish and/or generator off where people can't park.

I plan to be tailgating all day at the golf course for the "Under the lights" game this Saturday  and I'm trying to figure out how I could get a TV signal for the game.  Does anyone know of a way to get a signal for just the weekend?  Or is anyone else going that would be interested to share their satellite connection?  I'm bringin a 42"  and I also have large PA speakers that we could play it loudly.  Who's interested in teaming up to tailgate?
