GameDay "Very Likely" to be in Ann Arbor for Notre Dame game
Not a confirmation or anything, but it's nice to know that things seem to be leaning in that direction. Full article below....

Does Gameday typically come to a location twice in one year? It would seem to me that this year's Michigan-OSU game could be very intriguing still...

They came to ND and OSU in 2003. Hopefully they do the same this year because that was a 38-0 win over ND and a 35-21 win over OSU in the 100th Game.

I looked it up online and apparently Michigan is 7-2 when GameDay visits Ann Arbor:
1994 Penn State (Lost 31-24)
1997 Colorado (Won 27-3)
1997 Ohio State (Won 20-14)
1999 Notre Dame (Won 26-22)
2000 Wisconsin (Won 13-10)
2002 Washington (Won 31-29)
2003 Notre Dame (Won 38-0)
2003 Ohio State (Won 35-21)
2007 Ohio State (Lost 14-3)
Take that for what it's worth. I used to enjoy stats like this but after seeing all of our winning streaks go up in smoke the last 3 years, they don't do much for me anymore.

Wow, I cant believe its been almost 4 years since gameday has been on campus. Well, 3 seasons. Michigan football should be in a position to have them visit at least one game a year.

Why would they come to AA when they have a much more intense intra-state rivalry in Iowa@Iowa State? You also have some TRULY classic intersectional matchups, like Rutgers-UNC, Virginia-Indiana, and BC-UCF. And if you want heated conference matchups, you can choose from Utah-USC and Georgia-USC (NTUSC). That's bad blood there. IO mean, Utah-USC? Whoa, Nellie!
Sorry, but ND-Michigan just does not pass muster. If you can't see that, well, I just don't know what else to say.

I remember back in the day ('94-'98) the GameDay crew would be in Ann Arbor several times a year, back when it was planned from week to week. It used to be that GameDay would show up for the biggest games each week (highest ranking teams), I think.
Its become a whole different beast these days, with it being planned in advance - makes it harder for Michigan to compete for a spot because other than the OSU game, the matchups don't stand out as some of the others across the country.

but after we win the inaugural B1G championship this year, we'll probably see them in Dallas for the 2012 opener.

I agree, I could also see it being difficult for UofM to pull in Gameday once a year because the show's producers probably want to spread out the locations they visit to try and improve ratings. College towns visited by the GD set would be more likely to watch the show, and if they concentrate their visits to a few high profile locales, they could be missing out in terms of viewership (even if those high profile locales offer the best games).

*When the home team is ranked higher than the visitor, the home team is 63-17.
*When the home team is ranked lower than the visitor, the home team is 34-58.
*When neither the home team or the visitor is ranked, the home team is 8-2.
*All time, home, away and at bowl games, the higher ranked team is 147-67.
*All time, overall, the home team is 105-77.

Does Gameday not go to South Bend because of the NBC deal? I was surprised not to see ND in the "most visited" locations.

Eh thats ok. I live in South Bend, and I forgot about the Domers years ago. They are easy to forget about.
Weis kicked ESPN off campus for the most part. Kelly has done quite a bit with ESPN, polar opposites in that regard.
How accurate have Corso's headgear predictions been? Any numbers?

Off the top of my head, Corso picked Colorado to beat us in 96 and 97. We won both games. From then on, he seemed to pick us at home the majority of the time. On the road, I'm not sure.

you have a night game, game day on scene for a highly anticipated game against one of your arch rivals...and you would take that opportunity to focus on Ohio State. That's mightly little brother of you. If MSU fans took shots at UM before a game with OSU, you would say the same thing.
