Has anyone recently upgraded their football season tickets?

Submitted by ChicagoBigHouse on

I just received my tickets this year, and next year would like to upgrade my seats, cost be damned.  Has anyone upgrades over the last year or two?  What is the process like?

Thanks

Yes, we upgraded into the Outdoor club level on the east side, and also into the west side chair backs. It really isn't too hard at all. The Tickets cost the same (per game) but there are heafty PSL's for the seats - that's where they get you. The other issue, they need to have seats avaialble. I assume you are a member of the Victor's Club, so call them to discuss your options.

I made a request about three years ago just to move in general to be nearer some family of mine.  I just followed the procedure on the ticket form and gave them as much pertinent info as I could about where I wanted to go.  Didnt upgrade or downgrade.  Never heard a word from the ticket staff, but when my tix arrived I was sitting right next to them, I had moved from one end of the stadium to the other so it was a fairly large move.  So someone is keeping track of this stuff and while they might not call or confirm with you, it appears they do their best to meet your needs...

Hope this helps

I requested an upgrade from 2 tickets to 4 and also moving from "endzone" to "blue" section two consecutive years. Both times I was denied.

This year I made a total contribution (PSD plus additional) of about $1,600 and that increased my point level enough that they approved me for the increase/move.

Hope that helps and GO BLUE!!!!!

For me, if I remember correctly there was a place on the form to include info about moving, I did that but also included a letter stating the account # of my family I wanted to sit near, where their current seats actually were and some other general info that I thought might help.

I did both. I didn't want to spend the extra money but I'm glad I did because it worked. The problem in my case was I was requesting an increase from 2 to 4 tickets. I am not alumni nor do I have any affiliation with the University so I have a very low level of points. Each case is different and I found the people in the ticket office to be very helpful. Good luck and I hope it all works out for you.

Be specific on where you want to sit because they will listen. When I first got my tickets I said I wanted 4 tickets and to sit in the closest row to the field available and I got put in row one

i moved from Section 5 - Row 63 to Section 3 - Row 27.  Wrote a pretty healthy check, asked nicely and hoped.  I've moved from the back line of the end zone to about the 20 - vast improvement in my book!

One problem you may have is that the premium seating is practically sold out. Priority points will again determine when you're eligible to buy any that may come available. Agree with other posters that by being very specific about what you want, the ticket office will work to get you there over time. We are in the West Side Chair Backs now, and that was simply a matter of meeting the annual seat commitment when there were free seats. 10 or so years ago when we wanted to move up one section in the bowl (from the end zone to the Blue) we just paid up and got new seats the next year.
