TomVH: One More Visitor for the BBQ

Submitted by TomVH on

I spoke with 2013 ATH Dymonte Thomas tonight and he told me that his father is now able to go to the BBQ at Michigan on Sunday so they will be attending.

Dymonte told me that Michigan is number one for him, and he also happens to be Bri'onte Dunn's cousin.

Anyone know what kind of safety he is/will be? A centerfielder type or an in the box hard hitter who will drop the hammer on some poor osu running backs since the NCAA won't?

Tom, I apologize if this has been discussed before, but are you going to leave this site to join ESPN, or stay and do double-duty?

Slightly OT - I was curious who attends the BBQ at the Big House?

Presumably, it is a private affair, but in  addtion to michigan football staff, possibly current football players and committed and potential recruits, do any other michigan staff or journalists or general public attend?

My simple google searchs don't reveal any images or videos immediately available.  Are any public photos released?

I assume recruits arrive at Schembechler Hall and then walk over to stadium via the practice field and possibly the locker room.  There is presumably some michigan security to prevent unwanted guests.

Just curious, and trying to put things in context.

for a DT commit this weekend. i'd really like 2 DT's but i'm trying not to get greedy. wormley, a DT (or 2) and a WR plus maybe a 2013 kid. not asking for much.

Man, I'll be honest, when I clicked on the thread I was kind of hoping to see Jordan Diamond's name. Nothing at all against Thomas, though. The more the merrier!

Seems to me that Dunn would wait until after the OSU fallout to really shake loose make any sort of commitmentTom tweeted that we move up now that Butch Davis is out.  Does this put the pressure on Dunn if he's really interested?  I know Garmon has been luke warm but as he seemed like a UNC lean I think his process starts over now.

No.

6 spots left.

1 reserved for OL.

At least 3 reserved for DT / WR combined (I think it should be 4).

Then 2 reserved for top flight recruits (Dunn and Fuller would be my best case scenario right now).

Expect that to be fluid between now and NSD, but that's the information that is out there.
