The DC Alumni Club has done this a couple of times in recent years, and it's always a big hit; the food travels pretty well. If you're in the Columbus area, I highly recommend you go and support the scholarship fund!
Do they ship the food there, or is there some unlucky intern who picks up all the food and quickly drives for a couple hours with hot pizza in the van? (Obviously, I know you'll heat it back up once it gets there).
They ship the food, and the facility where the event takes place does the final baking/preparation as needed.
Do you know this for sure? Because UAUM said below that he personally picked up the Stucchi's from A2 and drove it down to Columbus...
Cottage Inn makes frozen pizzas and breadstix that they ship;Stucci's said that they'll ship ice cream (for like $60 extra); and Zingerman's would do the same with brownies. But since I was visiting family in Detroit last weekend and was dying to see the scoreboard progress, I just picked them up myself on the way home (saved some $$ on shipping too).
That's just how we did it for the DC Club. We're significantly farther from Ann Arbor than Columbus (~550 miles).
Please report back that all dishes were seasoned with delicious tears collected this spring from the OSU faithful.
to stupid with that pic....lmao!
The club can run a demo on proper cooler use for the locals.
I actually picked up the Stucci's myself from Ann Arbor last weekend and brought it down on dry ice (then put it in a freezer) - it was really special being back in Ann Arbor, especially driving by the Stadium and seeing scoreboards going up. Since there is a Cottage Inn in C-bus, we'll just order the pizza fresh.
Really appreciate the support. Should be a fun event where all of us fans in exile can get together and rock M gear without fear of bodily harm. Of course there will be a bar (cash), so that'll be fun too.
What else are you bringing in other than Cottage Inn and Stucchis. I'm pretty sure the NYC club brings in Zingermans and Pizza House Chipatis
including:
Seafood Civeche
Mediterrantan plannter
Chicken Satay w/ Jerk Chutney
Beef Wantons with Tziki
There will also be a cash bar too (non-booze is free).
We almost got brownies from Zingerman's, but they were $250 for only 50 of them, plus shipping.
were they left over from Hash Bash?

If you want to sign up on line you can go through the alumni assn. and pay $25 if you're not a member. Otherwise, just show up and pay $20 at the door.
Denard, what would you think if it wasn't open to everyone:
[ehh]
So we should invite everyone, right Denard?
[Oh yeah]
I didn't think there were any pictures of denard not smiling that weren't action shots

I hope they hired Blackwater to for security.
I'm kicking around the idea of heading there. Should be a good time regardless.
Hope you can make it.
We have a ton of Adidas Michigan shirts for auction with most starting at $8 a piece, so if you're looking to pick up some M gear for cheap, this is the place.
You can get TP to open up the equipment locker and you can get some OSU stuff as gag gifts. Lord knows the NCAA will do nothing about it.
All this meeting will prove is that Ohio residents have no clue how to build a bomb.
