OT: Authentic Michigan Roster for NCAA 12 (Xbox 360)

Submitted by icefins26 on

Hey all -- I mentioned on Tuesday that I would be putting together an authentic Michigan roster based on a previously downloaded roster. These rosters have all the names (excluding our boy Pryor) and I really wanted to focus on Michigan's. I adjusted ratings based on the spring and customized all equipment/looks based on previous games, practices, etc. Yes, I am OCD with this but I need my roster to be as authentic as possible. I also did tweak some other major players around the country with some slight equipment changes.

Some notes:

Moved Cam Gordon from SS to OLB

Moved Kellen Jones from OLB to MLB

Moved Marvin Robinson from FS to SS

Moved Jack Miller from DE to C

Bumped up Jake Ryan's rating to be equivalent/better than JB Fitzgerald

Bumped up Carvin Johnson to an 81 overall at FS (from 71) and tried to tweak his skills to be stronger in the "ball hawk" category

Bumped up Will Campbell's rating to be equivalent/better to Quinton Washington (word around campus is that BWC has really improved even from spring to 7 on 7's) to have a battle for the other DT spot with Martin

Replaced backup MLB Paul Gyarmati and created incoming freshman RB Thomas Rawls and gave Rawls a strong rating (not starter material but definitely worthy of playing time)

Replaced Seth Broekhuizen with Matt Wile (sorry, Seth)

Numbers Note: I did my best with numbers as it's impossible to have everyone with the correct number. I do know that Marrell Evans is incorrect, along with Tony Anderson, Chris Bryant, Russell Bellomy and probably Jack Miller (since we don't know his incoming number).

____________

That's all I can think of off the top of my head as I am away from the 360 right now but I hope y'all can use these. If you have any suggestions, concerns, problems, let me know.

Gamertag: HockeyHead18 (the file is a original roster creator' name since I overwrote his file)

Enjoy.

Wasn't on the roster I downloaded. They had Molk and Khoury. I moved Miller on mine too, since Khoury is a RS Jr.

I think for depth purposes their base roster had 2 at each OL spot. Lewan/Gunderson, Barnum/Bryant, Molk/Khoury, Omameh/Posada, Huyge/Schofield. Plus Mealer as an extra OG.

MOAR tackles plz! Create an Incredible Hulk type player and name him Yerden and drop him in behind Schofield in the Tackle depth, maybe RSJr Mealer as the backup Guard over freshman Posada too.

This is the roster I submitted to Operation Sports for their community rosters a few weeks back. From what I hear, it sounds like the roster they created isn't all that similar to this one. There are 69 players since that's all you can start a dynasty with on your roster. I agree that Rawls should probably be substituted for Hayes at RB. I may also remove Heininger and create Posada for depth or possibly Ramon Taylor instead. Feel free to create these for anyone who is interested. I haven't purchased the game yet.

I don't think you can use the other guys gamertag; it doesn't matter what the filename is. The roster is downloaded from the gamertag you enter, so if we enter that gamertag won't we just be downloading his roster, the same one you downloaded? Not at home so I haven't checked it out yet

I'm an old(er) fart so I've been out of the gaming thing for a while, but it's quite phenomenal. The OL double teams and even scoop blocks, the playbooks are authentic, and Tom Brady throws with the real guy's motion (I'm only on Madden so far). LB's bite on play fakes if you're running the ball effectively.

I'm learning more about football by playing Xbox than I have since joining this blog last year.

The last video game system I owned was Sega Genesis. And I don't hate on video games, I have friends who play video games, I've just never been able to sit like that long enough, I don't watch much TV or movies either. What I don't get is the discussion that forms around this stuff. There are a lot of things that people like to do that don't result in mgoblog threads.

I'm definitely not upset and I don't have a problem with it. I'm just stating that I never would have thought video games to be as big of a topic as it is. It's not just OT, it's a very recurring OT.

This has no become a bigger deal than I had intended.

I hadn't bought the game in a few years and just downloaded one of the generic roster files (gamingtailgate, I belive), but it obviously didn't have the UM upgrades.

Tried to do a few myself, but didn't have the patience because that feature of the game seems really choppy for some reason. Maybe my system is getting old or something. Anyhow, any updated Michigan rosters for PS3 would be appreciated!

I have a ps3. The community rosters should be done tonight or tomorrow. I have a set of rosters right now, but they are way off. I should have the legit ones tomorrow. And by legit, I mean Michigan's roster will be spot on, and Pryor will be gone, and Wilson will be at Wiscy. Feel free to to upload my rosters. MAIZEandBLUE2 is my psn.

Is this game any good? I usually buy NCAA and Madden in alternating years. From the reviews Ive read NCAA 12 is basically the same as 10 and 11 except better graphics. I read the rosters are waaay off but thats not that big a deal since Im going to be downloading a roster update.

I'll probably give in and buy it anyways.

Appreciate all your work on this and look forward to playing some time. As to the concern about too many gamer posts. What else are we supposed to do in July/Aug then watch Big Ten Greatest Games in the PIP and play NCAA 2012? To me NCAA 2012 is the start of football season and the final two months of off season are almost bearable.

Go Blue and go Denard rushing for 199 and throwing for 230 yards in my first game of the season.

skin tone is completely wrong for Denard. A better solution is to bump up his weight to around 216, which opens up more face options for the dark skin tone(one includes dreads) and lower the body build sliders(the arms, chest and belly ones) so he still looks the same size wise. Weight does not impact gameplay in the game either, so there is nothing to worry about from that standpoint.

I made a Michigan roster using the initial community roster over at Operation Sports as a base. If somebody wants to check it out my gamertag is SilentAssasin84(yes I know awful tag, don't feel like paying to change it though). The roster is very accurate in terms of equipment, ratings and from a depth chart standpoint, the only issue is that Smith doesn't have dreads since the community one had his dreads missing and now there is no way to give him dreads without changing his skin tone.

To the OP- thanks for this. I just tried to download your roster (I already downloaded the Fairdale Kings one, which is good), but it failed. Likely because you're not online, but I'm not sure- I only get XBox Gold once a year, for a month, for this purpose. I'm sort of a neophyte at the whole online aspect.

I see there is some problems downloading the rosters. Not sure why because I uploaded them. I am out enjoying a gin and soda but I will be back soon. Do I need to be online?
