Somebody make that video

Submitted by uniqenam on

You know the one I'm talking about.  It started in 2009, was continued in 2010, and now there's a conspicuous lack of it.  I'd make it if I had any video editing skills whatsoever, but as it is it would wind up as some gruesome oddity somewhere between Star Wars Episode I and Snakes on a Plane.  So, I'm begging one of you MGoPosters with movie skills: Can you please make one of those ultra-baller super-cool 2011 hype videos with the song "Better Son/Daughter" again?  It just seems like my summer isn't complete without it.  Someone help me.

One "better son better daughter" hype video, for 2009. I think the one for 2010 was lil Wayne. There is not a user generated hype video for 2011 yet, although someone did make something about 20 minutes long with nothing but Denard...

Watching that video is bittersweet because, on one hand, the video and the song build to an awesome apex that gives me chills. However, to get to that apex, I have to watch two minutes of painful highights (and some after the apex).

I'm hoping this year we can make a video at the end of the year, with the painful, black and white portion composed of the '07-10 seasons and the beautiful, glourious, orchestral apex is all highlights from the coming year.

On one condition:

That this is the last year for a while that every 'hype' video has to start with two minutes of us getting our asses kicked in black and white.

K thx.

There's enough material that we don't need to see anything really bad this year. Shit, there was even that one defensive touchdown against Purdue, so the D can represent. That, and lots of Denard running fast.

I'm just saying there were enough great touchdowns to fill a four minute video. I was a mod for all of the LiveBlogs, so I distinctly remember some slightly negative things.

Just remember, no touchdown on the first drive = let's give Tate a shot. I wonder if that'll happen again this year even though Tate is gone.

I graduated this past April, and I very much love my new city and job... but seeing these replays honestly brought a few tears to my eyes.  To those of you on mgoblog who are still current students, I promise you, you have no idea how much you will miss UofM and AA until you are gone.

Enjoy every second of it.  Even the losses, cause you are experiencing it all with friends.

Now to make up for this sappy post I will go eat some Wheaties with beer.

No more Rilo Kiley.  Like Josh Groban, they are to be associated with the previous regime only.

Brady Hoke does not listen to girlie indie rock bands.

I love that song, and those videos, but that was the RR era.  I was and am a RR fan, and have my doubts about how we handled the transition (Brandon's comments about not needing a map of the campus, etc., etc.), cringe at the arguments people make against the old regime, etc., but it's the beginning of a new era, and Hoke/Mattison need a different song.  I'll have bittersweet memories of the past era (I'm sure some people will chime in and say, IT WAS ONLY BITTER), but let's leave that in the past and use a new song for the new era.

I shared that song with everyone I know.  They all loved it.  I didn't send anyone the hype video because most of the people that I know don't care about Michigan or college football.  However, now that they all know the song I will send them the hype video this year if someone makes it.  Please, someone make it.

I think those were only to be made for the RR-coached teams. Because this blog was always the one spot where you could get constant good vibrations about the program under RR.
