Post-nuptial Brian

Submitted by ItsaDamnGame on
There was a lot of talk about the potential for Tiger Woods to lose his competitive fire after he got married. What are chances that Brian comes back a changed man and his writing and the blog suffer for it? I hope this thought passes without incident... Anyone else worried?

Marriage has been known to change people, but I think we're ok.  Though there may be more talks of picnics in the park, long walks on the beach, and romantic candlelight dinners.

1) Who is Brian?  I have only been on here for a couple weeks now and don't really know too many people.

2) What are the MGoPoints under the user name and date of joining?

I'm a little surprised that you calmly explained who Brian is but then acted surprised that dude didn't know how the points system works. I confess that I still don't get this newfangled gizmo.

Anyway, I would have thought your reaction would have been the reverse.

As far as I can surmise Brian's been living with his now wife for quite some time. Marriage won't change their day to day dynamics much. Their first kid on the other hand will.

When the first MGoOffspring is announced (or leaked) the "what should Brian name his kid" threads!!!

We've got enough Michigan related Dog names on here, I can't wait for the speculation about the MGoBaby

/S - I hope we let Brian have a personal life away from the blog

/Less than S - I think these threads would be hilarious

The marriage will, like most marriages do, cause Brian to gain some weight.  This will surely slow down his typing speed as his hands will be fatter and heavier.  This will cause us to wait longer for posts.  So to give you the answer you were fishing for, the blog is indeed going to hell in a handbasket, directly due to Brian's wedding.

The first year, things around here might get a little slower since Brian will be paying more attention to his bride (and getting lots of "attention", ifyaknowwhati'mtalkinabout). Each year thereafter, he'll have more and more time for us until, sometime 5-10 years from now, surfing for Michigan porn will be his typical day.

Absolutely I'm worried. Do you expect Brian to continue this blog forever? Sometimes life changes can get in the way of things like this.

Every guy who gets married loses it. Before long, the "I won't get in the way of your blogging" will become, "Are you at the computer AGAIN?"

He'll hear the subtle nagging at first and she'll just laugh as if she's not serious.

Then it will really hit: "But why TODAY? It's our 2.784 year anniversary and I had something planned!"

And then it will be, "Get the FUCK out from behind that computer, I don't care if Michigan is playing some shitass 'Ohio State' and they're ranked #1 and #2--we're out of flour and my mother is coming over so we can bake another 5000 cupcakes to eat this week! GET TO THE GROCERY STORE BITCH!"

And then it will be, "All I ever do is slave away and slave away and all YOU ever do is 'WRITE' or some shit about football in a silly computer blog and my MOTHER IS MOVING IN and YOU can sleep in the basement"

And then it will be child support, she gets half the blog (and decorates it with flowers and MGoBlog becomes a staucnh supporter of Title 9) and Brian is living in an apartment with his buddy Rolph who never got married and wears one pair of socks (and nothing else) everywhere, never washes them, and has 9 cats and a pet Boa Constrictor who is never in a cage and just kind of stares at Brian alot.

But better luck on marriages #2 and 3, Brian!
