I don't think anyone knows for sure. But I would say it is a strong possibility since the DL seems to be filling up pretty quickly. I'm hoping that Wormley and Kalis commit, although like Tom said below, it's doubtful that Kalis would commit this quickly as he wants to visit a few more schools. I can imagine seeing Kalis, Diamond and Magnuson on the OL in the future.

From The Detroit News: http://detnews.com/article/20110622/SPORTS0201/106220414/Report--Kyle-K…

Two coveted recruits from Ohio — five-star offensive tackle Kyle Kalis of Lakewood and four-star defensive end Chris Wormley of Toledo Whitmer — will visit Michigan's campus this weekend. But Kalis says Wormley might have already settled on a college. "The biggest thing about going to Michigan would be going against Tom (Strobel) and Chris Wormley every day (in practice)," Kalis told Bill Kurelic of Bucknuts.com. "I've pretty much come to the conclusion that Wormley is going to Michigan."

This is one that i am fairly suprised has not happened as of yet also.  Im also somewhat surprised Wilson, the safety from Ohio, has not went with the good guys too.

Wilson and his coach are sorting things out on Friday, correct?

Tom tweeted something like, "this could be a great weekend for Michigan" (not exact words). I think he was talking about Wormley and Wilson, with the very small chance Kalis is in there too.

I feel like Captain Obvious right now, but I am sure that is news to at least one person that will read it.

Gambling on recruiting? Great, now we're gonna be in huge trouble with the NCAA.

/Cue OSU See-everybody-breaks-the-rules-so-why-are-we-in-trouble argument.

On the bright side, this would allow TomVH and JamieMac to either join forces, or to compete head-to-head. Not sure which would be better.

On Wednesday, Sam Webb stated in his recruiting roundup segment that he did NOT think that Wormley (or Kalis) would commit to UM this weekend.

It seems odd that Wormley has not committed yet as he is reportedly down to UM and OSU with OSU fading dramatically since Tressel's "resignation".

This kid dominated his Sophmore year then his Jr season by many experts and from the video's posted that I saw he looked very average ..You guys are acting as if he was just dominant ...I think this guy is very over rated .. His play needs to improve vastly I think this scholarship could go to a position of need not another DE or atleast 1 who showed up his Jr year  ..IMHO

All I can say is, Hoke and Co. know what they are doing. I agree, his junior film isn't quite as exciting as his sophomore film, but who knows, he could have the best year his senior year. I would be more than happy if Wormley committed.

Pittman and Wormley are very different positions though. If you wanted Pittman, then we shouldn't have taken Mario or Pharoah. They are slotted for the rush end like Pittman. Also we still have Roh, Black, and Beyer in a log jam for that position as well. I believe Pittman's coach confirmed in an interview that UM told Pittman that we were full at that position. Looks like the first come, first served kind of bit us there.

Yeah, he deffinatly didn't perform to expectations his junior season, so this year may help to determine which season was the abberant one. The thing about Wormley is that he's a physical freak allowing for a high ceiling with the right coaching. Also with his body, he has flexibility to move inside, thus the allure with Wormley. But he's been a long time lean to us, so we have hyped him a little bit too much.

Some rumors have been that he was hampered by an injury, and if not, then he definitely has the skill to be dominant. So with our 3 defensive line coaches, he could be very good.

I'd absolutely love to get Wormley.

I've heard this too, not to mention he was 1st team all-state and defensive district player of the year.

Kenny Hayes a higher 4* DE recruit to OSU was on the team last year, and I'm pretty sure Wormley was regarded as the better player.  So getting double and triple team might tend to slow down the highlight reel.

Also, he has long been rumored to be OSU or Michigan, so the big time national programs haven't even bothered.  Few offers = lower rankings to recruting sites.

Ya I have heard similar things. He was mentally distracted by the injury and although he was healed he wasn't comfortable enough to go all out on the field. This isn't too surprising, happens to lots of athletes. I remember I had a spring/summer of soccer where I sprained my ankles four times (twice each). Consequently, going into my high school season I was out of shape and really hesitant about rolling my ankles. Affects your mental performance. One of my friends split his head open on a header with another guy (my friend played very physically). Took him a while to get comfortable playing with reckless abandon again (but he eventually did). Let's see what Wormley does in his senior season before we write him off.

committing together this weekend.  Kalis sounded really excited about playing with Stroebel (sp?), and once he gets to campus, he could be blown away and make his decision with Wormley.

I'm REALLY hopeful for Wilson though.  It is a position of great need for UM...surely he sees that (please).

Here's to a GREAT weekend for Hoke & Co.  Great job guys!

Is a monster.  I have seen him play...if he is hurt and playing this well, OMG.

Every Ohio analyst says he is in the top few players, and that state is stacked this year.  Wormley is as big a rrecruit as any we get, whether or not he has that fifth star behind his name.

I think he commits this weekend...but we shall see.

I'm going up to Michigan this weekend for a summer program for two weeks. I get there Sunday, so if he's there Sunday, I somehow run into him, and somehow recognize him, you can guarantee that I'll be all up in his grill about comitting.

I actually MichiganMan has the right idea, what's wrong with showing how much the fan base cares? I mean coaches cant recruit 24/7 so why can't fans help? I mean if you're FB friends with them, what's wrong with sending them messages with positive news about UM and negative info about others? I almost feel like I've had a direct impact on recruiting by this type of effort. Sure it may take time out of my day, but I feel like if you keep UM on these kids minds (via twitter, FB, myspace, etc) it can only help.

Correct.  I also don't think it would be smart to talk to him about committing.  Talk to him about the school, the program, and all things UM.  Don't talk to him about committing.  These kids have enough pressure on them in deciding their future for some random person they've never met to come up and tell them what they should do.
