Woodson gets himself quite the ring
Our boy Chuck and his Packers gathered at Lambeau last night to receive their Super Bowl rings.
They are not understated:
Thing checks in at 3.55 carats, just short of the 3.61 bling mountain received by Woodley and others in Pittsburgh's last win. Call me crazy, but in the midst of all this fuss about revenue and how the players deserve more, doesn't this send a conflicting message?
No word on how much A.J. Hawk expects to get for his on the C-Bus Black Market, hehe...
Imagine how big Evan Dietrich-Smith's ring is!
That's what she said.
The ring isn't compensation. It is a gift.
"The painting was a gift, Todd. I'm taking it with me."
Wedding Crashers right?
obviously
I couldn't quite remember. I saw it in theaters and not since. Great movie though.
"MOM! MEATLOAF!"
I call it celebration
<br>
I love all of the detail on the ring though, especially the stadium.
Is it just me, or is the ring saying, "RODGERS" placing a little too much emphasis on him? Yeah, he was the MVP and the QB, but it's supposed to be a team sport and a team win. I'm personally not a fan of having his name that big on the team ring..
I think that is just Aaron Rodgers's ring... not Woodson's.
Either that is Rodgers' ring, or he and Woodson are going steady. I'll let people figure out which is more likely . . .
was Aaron Rodgers' ring. I would be kind of mad, if I were a Packer and had to wear a Rodgers ring around. Not cool at all.
Totally. If I were Charles Woodson, I would go right back to Jared, the Galleria of Jewelry and demand monetary compensation.
He went to Jared?
He went to Jared!
They're personalized, that's just rodgers's ring
If they weren't personalized they all say Rodgers, there way to say hello brett farve.
...tell everyone that you forgot the /s tag, even if that's not the case.
Ha, wow... nope not the case at all. Oops...
In my defense, it's a thread about Charles Woodson's ring, so I thought the picture would be of his ring..
/shamefullyhuddleinthecorner
Lets assume that this may be the only published copy of the ring and the OP thought you would know that?
I am speechless and my keyboard now has coffee spray all over it.
Congrats on manning up to your mistake, but man.....dude, come on. Are you new?
my state championship ring from high school says my last name on it. I assume that's how most teams do it.
Nice where do I order one?
Check Dennis Talbot's ebay account in a few weeks.
i'm sure aj hawk will have his up on ebay soon
Ring in Charle's collection.
Amen to that, my friend...
If I could spell "Charles's" properly....
When would it be "Charles's" vs. "Charles' "?
It should always be Charles's, because it's a single person.
depends who you ask. strunk & white says it's "charles's" since "charles" isn't an ancient name ending in "es" or "is" and isn't "jesus"...my fiancee says both are acceptable. i always use the extra "s" myself.

but it would be better if the diamonds were of the maize variety; extremely rare.
And get the maize and blue ones...
That one is perfect. The Super Bowl ring is too over-the-top. Pro sports rings these days are too gaudy for anyone not named Liberace.
So hypothetically, if Woodson wanted a tattoo...
He's always been one of my favorite Wolverines. He deserves it, and I'm very happy for him that he was able to get it. You da man Chuck!
What a trophy case:
National Championship Ring
Heisman Trophy
Super Bowl Championship Ring.
WOW!
Also: an Ohio Mr. Football award.
Jim Thorpe Award (1997)
Bronco Nagurski Award (1997))
Chuck Bednarik Award (1997)
Walter Camp Award (1997)
Not pictured: Mr. Football (Ohio, 1994); Jack Tatum Award (1997); Sporting News POY (1997); AP Defensive Rookie and POY (1998, 2009); NFC Defensive POY (2009)...plus he's a 7x Pro Bowl Selection, 3x First Team All-Pro, and 3x Second Team All-Pro.
Dude's got more hardware than True Value.
And probably one of these...
Will somone refresh my memory? Is the Walter Camp Award given for best orgy? What the heck is going on there?
and hate that the Packers won the Superbowl, but I am still happy for Charles Woodson. He's just awesome. His pick against MSU (you all know which one I'm talking about) still amazes me.
I'd love to see him come back and coach the DBs
Most players with great careers don't come back and coach; they aren't hungry enough to put in 100 hours a week for what they get paid, and they usually are a tad burned out from the monumental physical stress of an NFL career. Besides, Woodson has the charisma for TV work. I would expect him to join Desmond at ESPN when his playing days are over.
