Would of loved to have had him but at least the kid had enough intelligence to not commit to a program that is not going to see the light of day for awhile!

They thought he was scarlet and gray.

Speaking of boards, there was some confusion about that, too.  That he was a kid that was going to be an early-enroll, but at the same time he had ACT issues.  Anybody know the story there?

Being an Army officer and a UofM ROTC Alumni, this quote makes me grieve for whoever wrote that. He definately has lost his military bearing and intagibles and isn't thinking cohesively. I can think of a lot worse people in the world to get their knees blown out and become cripples; like the insurgents who shot rockets on my platoon and I last Thanksgiving, or the ones that shot my good friend in Afghanistan. Not this KID in high school. He should be ashamed.

I'm sure he just wanted to know he could pull down a TSIO offer and then "Wow thanks! You know what though...thing is about that...." I like that kid. I wish him them best except for the one year he plays us.

"Dodson may be even better than Kalis, but right now he doesn’t have the ACT score to qualify for an OSU offer. Dodson needs to get his score of 16 up by a point or two in order to officially earn his Buckeye offer, but in the meantime he holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Vanderbilt, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Nebraska, and others. There’s clearly a reason Dodson is waiting on OSU and I think if he qualifies for an offer he will take it."

Apparently he didn't actually need to get his scores up to get that offer.  Maybe it came because OSU heard he was about to announce for Wisconsin. I think we're going to see a shift in OSU's recruiting strategy. It's just laughable that they're supposedly still slow playing Standford.

"f all thats running through my head right now is that Kyle Dodson just committed to Wisky. Such Bull Shit! I have him as a friend on Facebook, & he just posted a status just saying " I AM COMMITTED TO WISCONSIN! ALL THE OTHER COACHES RESPECTED MY DECISION & THEY WERE CLASSY ABOUT IT. THANKS FOR RESPECTING MY DECISION & FOR ALL THE SUPPORT!!!" All I can say is wow. Cant believe he did this to tOSU."

I can't stop shaking my head over someone saying "Can't believe he did this to tOSU."  Seriously, are those people clinically diagnosed with deranged psychosis?

The reaction posted is a perfect example of how Buckeye fans react to things. I don't believe the average Michigan fan really appreciates how over the top these people are. Having lived in Cowlumbus for 14 years I can attest to their obession with the buckeyes being religious in its passion and fervor.

Next comes the spin.

There is no way they can simply wish Dodson (or Strobel) well and move on. They will have to rationalize why kids, whose virtues they previously extolled, became back stabbing traitors to buckeye nation overnight. These poor kids will have their good names dragged through the mud. Their houses will be egged. Their cars will be keyed. They will catch crap at school and be booed when they retake the field this fall. I have seen it all before... smh... it is bizarre and it is sad, but it is the reality of "buckeye nation"

This is exactly why Kalis had to go on their local sports radio show to say he's still committed. It's self preservation. He had to appease the mob. If he or Dunne do reject  them they'll put it off as long as possible until they get out of Dodge.

I can't remember where I heard it, but when Woody knew he was going to lose a recruit (possibly to UM)he would try to always tell the kid that he should go to ND knowing that it would hurt UM on two fronts.

Wisconsin is a great school for offensive lineman so it's not much of a surprise that he would be attracted to heading there. He should do well there, best of luck to him.

It's a great school. I'm really happy about this. Obviously I would have preferred him to come to Michigan, but if the rumor was he was going to OSU, and he didn't, that's great. And if there was any B1G school he was to go to not named Michigan, I'd prefer Wisconsin. Not in our division and I have a soft spot for them.
