No "Touch the Banner" Sidebar Link
Did anyone notice that the sidebar link to Touch the Banner is no longer included in the list of Michgan blogs. Is there are reason for this beyond a simple oversight? Some sort of spat between Magnus and Brian? It just seems a bit of an odd absence. Anyone know anything?
I find it hard to believe it would be a spat given the number of times TTB is referrenced in front-page material.
Other than that, I have no explanation
I do not believe it has ever been included; I recall wondering the same thing a couple years ago.

I don't think it's ever been on the sidebar, but it's cool. Brian and Tim link some of the posts occasionally.
It would take 5 seconds for one of the mods to add it back and he's not exactly picky on who is in it (no offense, simply meaning you regularly update and it's qualified information so no reason it wouldn't be)

I've had my fair share of arguments with Brian, so I'm not offended that my site hasn't been added to the sidebar. It's a privately owned site, so it would be silly of me to expect that someone should direct traffic to me.
What I was saying is that i highly doubt it's an issue of avoiding your content and more about not caring enough to think of it. I'd be highly surprised if you sent an email that said "can you add the site" and he didn't. If anything, it's a repository of content where the only terms of removal were "hasn't updated in a year"

Agree with captain. It was never there to begin with. Maybe it should be added though. Magnus has better content then some of the other blogs linked.

Many of those pictures are found easily by Google searches or volunteered by the girls themselves. A couple have been e-mailed by random people.

I know you're defending your blog's good name and trying to disprove the "ugly Michigan girls" thing, but I'm going to go ahead and call shenanigans. Seeing as I know quite a few of the sorority women in the pictures you've posted, including some from my own house, I can tell you that the ones I'm acquainted with are not even aware of mgoblog's existence. Maybe I'm wrong and maybe they're just friends with someone who reads your blog, but the whole thing has never sat well with me because most people I know, myself included, would be pissed at having their personal pictures poached by a friend without their permission, and I have never seen anything to indicate there was any permission involved before the creepin' commenced.

You can call shenanigans if you want. I was contacted by one person who said they weren't aware of their picture being sent to me, and I offered to take it down. As I said above, the others have been found by a Google image search, e-mailed to me, and I think the one girl with a Michigan tanktop was found randomly as I was cruising around the internet one day and saw it on another website.
If your friends think their picture was posted erroneously, then have them contact me and I'll take it down. Otherwise, I stand by what I said above.
....I would assume you'd be rational enough to take it down if someone asked, but that does nothing for any other girls who were not aware of people sending their pictures in. I'll be emailing my house and asking our president to forward it to the rest of Panhel.
If someone does a google Internet search for "hot girl wearing Michigan clothing" and tons of photos come up someone can't use those?

It was taken down in response to the pictures of "Andrew" on the front page. It will be added again when "Atractive Michigan Girls of the Week" are back up.

Just went over to Touch the Banner and left the screen up. Very hard to explain a mostly naked man, a giant peice of bacon and the word "Touch" all on the same screen to the wife.
I'm guessing the bacon was the easiest thing to explain.
