Beaubois is not as slippery as Barea.. I'm not saying Barea is a better player.. but they're definitely not clones of each other. Their games couldn't be more different.

Therein is the problem. Wilbon and Magic said so much after the game. He (and other players) seem to care more about their images and brands rather than on being true NBA greats.
That was actually a very interesting segment, where Magic talked about how '84 made him aware of his shortcomings and how he worked that summer to develop his outside shot so that he wouldn't be a liability from 18' out. And then Barry and Wilbon just killed Lebron, saying they doubted he would ever spend the time to study his own shortcomings, with Barry being especially pointed, saying "He's never been yelled at" and "Did he go to college?" implying that Lebron doesn't really understand how to play.
The upshot was that both Wade and Lebron need to change their games so they're not solely what Magic called "wind up players" who get the ball 25 feet from the hoop and go, and that each of them need to learn how to play without the ball, especially by developing a post game. Lebron in particular should be much better in the post than he is.
It might have been Magic's finest moment in his career as a commenter, which is not saying much.

Mavs are partying in Club LIV right now. Miami people cheered them when they entered the club. As a sports fan, I would hate to be from that city.

For all the people who spend time celebrating the Heat losing, and using your time and energy hoping for LeBron to fail: Who is the real villain here? It is all of you. High quality people don't pray for the downfall of others. Rooting for the Mavs is one thing, but all you are is a hater if you watched the series hoping for Miami to lose. So the next time you try to tell somebody that LeBron is a douche, or that he is an arrogant asshole, listen to(or look at) the words you are about to speak(or type).
Have you really never rooted for a team you dislike to lose? OSU? MSU? The Yankees? The Cowboys? As long as the ill-feeling stays restricted to the playing area (and doesn't extend to wishing him ill outside it), I don't think it's a big deal. If anything, the presence of such a lightning rod for criticism probably boosted TV ratings for the series.
This has gone beyond what happens when the Yankees, OSU or Duke is playing. People generally like to see those teams lose. People based their whole interest in the series on watching the Heat/LeBron lose, as evidenced by the results of ESPN's poll as to what the series will be remembered for. People have gone beyond whats normal in rooting for a team to lose in this year's playoffs. Also, it has spilled over to off the court stuff. People have rejoiced in the fact that Rashard Lewis claims to be sleeping with LBJ's girlfriend. Even talk radio assclown Bill Cunningham felt the need to rip LeBron last night. The hypocrisy of the whole situation is a bit frustrating.
As long as there have been celebrities, there have been people looking to tear them down. That is not new. Part of James's problem is that he just doesn't seem very savvy from a PR standpoint. Some of the stuff said about James is in poor taste, to be sure. At the same time, he only fuels more of it by lashing out at his critics. He just has to rise above it all.
It's pretty much all done in poor taste, which was my original argument. So you would agree he is treated unfairly by the media and fans around the league? That's all I want people to realize.
LeBron has chosen to spectacle of himself, publicly proclaiming his desire to be the first billion-dollar athlete, staging "the Decision" and frequently going on the defensive when people criticize him. Last night he basically mocked his critics. What he's getting in response may not be fair, but fans don't target guys who keep their mouths shut.
He could've stood at the podium and said "I'm sorry for the way I played, congratulations to Dirk and the Mavs" and walked away, and what would the response have been? It would be: That guy doesn't seem like he cares, or some other crap. He can't win in the eyes of 85% of people, resulting in the unfair treatment. What's wrong with him mocking his critics? He has to sit back and listen to people degrade him as a man and athlete?
Let's see, instead of just a press conference, he participated in a big production about where he's taking his talents next. He mocked Dirk Nowitzki's illness. Sounds like a douche to me. So people are villains for wanting him to lose to the Mavs? What a crock!
Besides, he only failed to win this championship - he still gets paid a ton of money. I should fail so much.
