Is there anything better than the sight of our perfect home uniforms playing in Pasadena for the National Championship?

Please do it again soon, it has been too long!

Every time I see that end zone interception I just shake my head in astonishment. For a guy who never lined up at the game's two marquee positions (quarterback and tailback), it doesn't compute that he could put himself in a spot to have such an impact on the game that consistently.

Truly a unique talent that college football the likes of since and may never see again. #2 needs to be retired.

FWIW, the Rose Bowl that followed (Wisconsin-UCLA '99) is on now.

Even in a losing effort, I like Borges' play-calling in this game SIGNIFICANTLY more than DeBord's in the previous year. Hit a couple TD bombs on a weak secondary and then go downfield maybe two other times all day - real good, Mike.

Borges had these Bruins going in and out of different formations and motions like an NFL team would. Extremely impressive.
