Can't wait for September 3, my first game as a student there!
Enjoy it, brother. 4-5 years go quickly. I still remember my first game back in '05. Feels like yesterday.
I still remember my first game as a student in '07...although I try to forget.
Use sunscreen. Freshman tickets are mostly in the north end of the bowl, and a telltale sign of a freshman is the sunburned right half of one's face on the Sunday/Monday after the game. It won't be as big of a deal with the 3:30 start, but be warned.
EDIT: also, there will be a girl behind you in a red t-shirt talking on her cell phone through the whole game. She will occasionally ask, "is it first down yet?" Feel free to punch her. It's allowed.
you lucky *astard. enjoy every moment of it. my first game as a student was the 30-3 beatdown of Colorado in '97.....think we had a pretty good team that year.....
Yep. Good thing it's a 3:30 start. Those early September games can be effing hot.
Except the hottest point of the day is around 4-5PM. I'd much prefer a noon start on this one, but that's just me.
Hopefully my first game as a student there will be in 2012. I went to my first two games this year, the Uconn game and the Illinois one. Needles to say, I was very stasified. Only problem is I'm afraid nothing will ever live up to that 30T epic. I also went to my first baskeball game this year. It was vs Wiscy. =(
Isnt the first game of the season usually at noon? I prefer earlier starts during the hottest part of the season. Less time to drink, but man, it can get hot as hell by 330.
The last three openers have been at 3:30 (UConn, WMU, Utah). The two before that were at Noon ( _____ and Vandy).
Oh... right.
/Sighs. Drinks. Swallows ennui.
I'll be perfectly happy not doing that noon opener thing again.
Hooray for the morning band rehearsal not being at 7:30 for the first game!
I can't wait.
for Michigan that we already know. /lazy
Notre Dame - 8:00 PM ESPN
@ Northwestern - 7:00 PM BTN
Purdue - 12:00 PM TV TBA
meant that wmu and emu were forming at tv netowrk lol
Got my schedule up on the bulletin board in the office. I love filling out each kickoff time as they are decided. CANT WAIT FOR FALL.
Why can't we go back to noon starts for openers? Next seasona against Alabama is gonna be in prime time too.
God I fucking hate 3:30 starts. Especially on that first weekend when there's absolutely, positively nothing but absolute shit on at noon.
having 3 7pm games in a row?
We're starting to return to normalcy. Remember when we knew the start times of almost all our games before the season started? That hasn't been the case for the last two years.
Love 'ya Coach Hoke!
Opened up the season of my first year with 45-7 blowout against Central, had a 38-0 clubbing of ND, 27-20 victory over MSU, and a 35-21 wonderful win against OSU with fans rushing the field for a Rose Bowl. Man I wish I could go back to 2003.
