Bulletin Board Material-Brian Rolle

Submitted by yoopergoblue on

Brian Rolle doesn't seem like he is too happy with the flak that he is undoubtedly getting about the Tressel and OSU news.  Looks like some of it us coming from Brandon Graham!  smiley Here he takes some shots at Hoke and his four years playing against Michigan.  Looks like some good bulletin board material for the boys this fall.

That's something they keep missing. Along with pundits all saying: "Tressel-gone. Gee- gone. Smith-gone. Pryor-gone." They're missing that the statute of limitations is flexible. It only ceases to apply if they are specific instances, but if thee instances string together to form a consistant pattern of noncompliance then it doesn't matter if Clarret being ineligible for the National Championship happened so long ago, Tressel is complicit in a solid 8 year stretch of cheating, and shown to have done the same at Youngstown prior, and as an asst. at tUOS in the '80s, and they can (if they so wish) string together and legally strip them of more than just last season if players are proved to have been competing while not eligible.

If every win was wiped out (likely, it will just be 2010), then the technical record would be 0-0. Wins are vacated, not turned into losses.

And we don't need to go THERE. That is like Sparty idiots inflating Izzo's record vs. UM because five wins came when we had Traylor, Taylor and Bullock. It's little brother nonsense and beneath Michigan. Rolle was 4-0. Take consolation that he has mongoloid-level intelligence.

If there is anyone out there that wanted to feel bad about OSU's image being tarnished as it affects Michigan and the rivalry, etc., this is a perfect example of why not to feel that way.  This fall from "grace" has been and continues to be so enjoyable to watch, if only because Buckeye fans are some of the most intolerable fans in the country.

His angry tweets remind me of Adam Sandler in Big Daddy (sub "JT" in for "Dad"):

Sonny: Look at that guy! He was very nice boy like you but his dad messed his mind up! Hey buddy! Who won the Jets game tonight?
Punker: Who cares?
Sonny: Let it go, pal! He can’t control you anymore!
Punker: What are you talking about?
Sonny: You know what I’m talking about!
Punker: YEAH! YOU’RE A LOSER!
Sonny: (screaming at punker) YOU’RE NOT MAD AT ME! YOU’RE MAD AT YOUR FATHER! I FORGIVE YOU!!!!
Punker: (imitating crying) I am! I am! I hate my father!

it stands to reason that his Fuckeye bretheren harbor those feelings. Now that he is no longer in c-bus, he can run his mouth w/out consequence to himself.  Rolle is convienent sounding board for his buddies.  If I were a current player and some player from a rival school said some stuff like that, I'd be chomping at the bit to inflict as much pain and suffering on those guys who wear his colors come the 3rd saturday of November and a 2nd time in Indy if needed.

The thing is, those Michigan kids don't need some ass-hat to run his mouth in order to get amped to pumel those clowns.  There will be blood.

Since when did receiving extra benefits have anything to do with Tressel's record?  I don't know, since he used boosters and influence to sway elite players to his program?  If one school offers you an education and one school offers you a car, a young, stupid, egotistical kid might like option B.

Guess he's just pissed he went to Ohio State and all he got was this lousy free tattoo.

Or the fact that most of, if not all of, those wins were achieved by using ineligible players. I kinda think we would've done a little better than 1-9 if guys like Clarett and Troy Smith hadn't been able to play, just maybe.

I hope so as well willywill, but it still doesn't change the fact that I watched those games and remember those losses like they were yesterday. It's a tiny bit easier to swallow knowing what we know now, even if the NCAA vacates those victories it's still ingrained in your mind. It's like the whole Fab 5 situation, none of those victories are in the record books anymore but anyone who is old enough to remember knows how many games they won and what the accomplished.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

By Kingdom we must mean memorabilia, which then leads to things being given (like tats and cars)

... "We played a great game, against a great opponent.  We're just glad to get the win."

You would think Twitter would make people more aware of what they say and more accountable to it, instead I feel it has done the opposite.

If I were a coach or GM, every contract would stipulate that players are not allowed to have personal facebook or Twitter pages.  Too much headache.

I think giving extra benefits has a close corrolation with Tressel's recrods.  Get those amazing athletes who are poor as hell to come to OSU because you can give em $100 handshakes, great car deals and open access to the equipment closet.  Everyone is going!

I've had some interesting conversations with some USC fans over the weekend and man, let me tell you this: misery sure loves company.

My neighbor is a huge flag waving, Charles White-uniform wearing (just to spite me), Trojan fan......and while he still has a billowing cloud of profanity over his house about the recent NCAA ruling on Trojan scholie reductions, he is absolutely eating up this scandal on the Buckeyes.

Defending Tressel looks strange to Michigan fans right now, but to USC fans it seems to be a knowing "don't say tha....aww, come on man!"  My neighbor knows I'm a Michigan fan and has been telling me how shocked he is, like the Discovery Channel just dislosed to the world how to destroy a stealth bomber, but I'm like, "dude, Michigan fans been saying this for years, where the hell have you people been?".

That said, Brian Rolle's lashing out right now sounds very similar to that of USC players when Peter Carroll suddenly left, and the NCAA was all up in their junk looking around and asking really direct questions.

Mr. Rolle sounds to me like a young man starting to feel a little uncomfortable.  Just think. The investigation has only begun.

Receiving extra benefits has a lot to do with the way the games play out.  Recruiting is a large part of college football and when a kid says "Well, I like both schools, but I can get a car, or free tattoes at OSU, I think I'll go there" it affects the outcome on the field.  Also, he apparently doesn't understand what a whore is.  You are the whores sir.

That or guys would prefer to play for the only big program in their home state. Outside of Texas, OSU has more in-state recruits than most other big time programs.
<br>Wouldn't you expect the best HS players in Michigan to want to play at UM? Why would that be different in Ohio?
<br>
<br>OSU has whooped Michigan ass for a decade because Tressel focused on keeping the top Ohio players in Ohio. Michigan has been left with Ohio's JV.
<br>
<br>Don't feel too bad though, UM negotiated better deal$ for some of Ohio's First Team (Manningham, Crable, Burgess, JT Turner, Koger)
<br>Maybe Hoke is willing to pay more. His Ohio and Michigan $Recruiting$ has definitely picked up.
<br>
<br>Remember, without Ohio talent UM is called Purdue.

We don't need to give him the attention that he wants. If it provides a spark for our players, then fine. But I suspect our players are already motivated to prove all the naysayers wrong.

It's going to be a great season.
