This post should help alleviate any concerns that the new & current OSU recruits may have had.

Recruits,
I want to start by stating, that I am in know way connected to THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY. Next I will tell you that your recruitment to this university by the current administration is for real. This is got to be about more than bowl games and championships. As someone on this forum's, signature states, " There is only one place in the world that you can become a buckeye, do you want to become a buckeye?"
Do you really think that the NFL will not look at you if you don't play in a bowl game? They will find you if you are worthy. Now, do you want to be a Buckeye?
This is about Buckeye nation, the alumni, and all past and future coaches , and all past and future professors and administrators. This is about YOU! You are our future!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought the name "Hineygate" itself was some kind of a joke.
