1997 Defense tribute
I wasn't going to post this with all the Tressel talk but I figure it's something to watch while waiting for the SI article to come out.
I put together 37 minutes of defensive highlights from the national championship season yesterday. Enjoy.

I watched it and am still amazed by how good they were. I would love to have another Ray & Woodson combo in the future. Thanks for the time you put into these videos.
Well you should appreciate former Coach Gary Moeller... who hired Hoke and Mattison... and who most of those players were recruited by Moeller. Moeller to me is the best coach we had. OSU was petrified of him... petrified.
I agree that Mo was a good coach, but regarding OSU, he had the luxury of facing the early Cooper teams. Carr faced OSU after Cooper had rebuilt the program. He beat top-5 OSU teams three consecutive years - in his first three years on the job, no less. Lloyd was a good coach, too.
They had approximately 6 hours of highlights that season. Where's the rest?
What a great start to the day...that was a fine senior year.
You, sir, are awesome. As was that defense.
Always love your contributions, WH. 1997 National Champions: untainted, ridiculously loaded with future pros, and undefeated for eternity. I'd like to put in a request for a full length Biakabutuka highlight video. I always thought he had the best moves of any back I've seen at Michigan, but it's hard to find any of his highlights outside of the legendary OSU game.
Biakabutuka was already my next planned tribute video. I'll be working on it this week.
I really forgot how good they were at every spot. Did the first d lineman in the backfield get to eat first?
Awesome Historian, thank you!
Should be required viewing for every defensive recruit.
And thanks for all the hard work WH!
The trick is to embed under the plain text editor.
The thing that stands out the most to me watching that video was how much fun that defense seemed to be having. That defense was so unbelievably agressive. They blitzed and hit with a vengence. This is what I am hoping Mattison can turn our defense into over the next couple of years.
Taht was incredible-TY!
I just love watching David Boston flying through the air in multiple slo-mo at 31:42-32:11.
