Wow, I can't wait to read that story.  There has got to be some very dirty shit being revealed in that story so Tressel had no choice.  I'll be anxiously awaiting!

he also said "I'm told it is likely my SI mag story will be posted at SI.com later today/tonight. Timing of Tress dec. will make sense after you read it"

Very telling.

I remember your prediction.  It was bold.  Now, IF the SI article bears you out, I will do my part to make sure you receive your due.

In the meantime, (a) we can't give you points because of the new system, (b) we don't talk about points, and (c) you haven't been proven right yet.

In fairness to him, he did "call his shot" as to what the allegations would be.  I, for one, vote that the Mods bestow 100,000 points to him IF it turns out that the following are in the SI article:

1. Pay for play under Tressel's knowledge

2. Coeds paid to sleep with recruits

3. Ted Ginn Sr on the payroll

4. Drug ring operating inside football team with Tressel's knowledge

If that is true they are SO dead.  I for one am doubtful (but hopeful) he is accurate. And if he is then the Mods should give him the 100k points they have taken away from others.

If we can punished when we're bad there should be some sort of reward system for when we are very good.

Woody Hayes was by all accounts a decent man with one serious flaw -- a very hot temper.  His fall was both disgraceful and tragic, but it didn't wipe out a long career in which he won mostly on the up-and-up.  Later on he was brought back -- they even had him dot the I -- and his achievements are still celebrated.  Which was entirely proper.

Tressel is being revealed as a hypocrite of the first order, a serious cheater practically from day one.  His downfall is just a piece of his career -- the entire thing was a disgrace.

Bottom line, I don't think its fair to equate the two.

Today could turn out to be Christmas + New Years + St. Patrick's day all in one!

But why, why, why does this all have to come on Memorial Day?  There's WAY more important meanings to today than watching Columbus burn down.
